    摘要: A semiconductor device, such as a gate turn-off thyristor, has, at a major surface of a semiconductor body a plurality of electrode fingers alternately contacting opposite conductivity type regions (e.g. the cathode and gate) of the semiconductor body. In order to save useful semiconductor area and to allow an improved electrode geometry bonding pads for the electrodes are formed at a level above the electrodes. An insulating layer separates the bonding pads and the electrodes. A first bonding pad contacts a first set of electrode fingers through a first set of windows in the insulating layer and a second bonding pad contacts a second set of electrode fingers through a second set of windows. In operation, the voltage drop along each electrode finger of a set is substantially equal. A third bonding pad may also contact the second electrode set through a third set of windows in the insulating layer.

The transport stage includes a document transport track defining a document transport path along which the documents are conveyed. The document transport track includes a camera window at the image camera to allow the image camera to view passing documents. The camera window is positioned proud into the document transport path to facilitate wiping of the camera window with the passing documents.

    摘要: A hand-operated document processor includes a base for receiving a document containing magnetic ink character data to be read and recognized, and a manually operated moving magnetic ink character recognition (MICR) subsystem. The subsystem includes a MICR read head. Movement of the subsystem causes the MICR read head to pass over the magnetic ink character data on the document. The base further includes a series of embedded markers that may be magnetic or optical. A speed sensing sensor is positioned such that the speed sensing sensor passes over the series of markers as the MICR read head passes over the magnetic ink character data on the document. MICR reading and recognition logic receives the signal from the MICR read head and the signal from the speed sensing sensor to provide position feedback information to the logic for use during character data recognition.

    摘要: A hand-operated document processor includes a base for receiving a document containing magnetic ink character data to be read and recognized. A manually operated moving magnetic ink character recognition (MICR) subsystem includes a MICR read head and is attached to the base. Movement of the subsystem causes the MICR read head to pass over the magnetic ink character data on the document. MICR reading and recognition logic receives the signal from the MICR read head. A spring drives the moving MICR subsystem across the document being processed. A vacuum solenoid creates a vacuum. The vacuum solenoid is driven by the spring and is connected to the base. The created vacuum acts as a brake to control the speed of the moving MICR subsystem as the moving MICR subsystem is driven by the spring.
