    摘要: A sub-assembly of a document processor that routes at least one document from an input hopper, along a document path and to an output bin is disclosed. The document processor includes a flag movably-arranged within the input hopper to/from a closed orientation and an open orientation; a rod fixed to and extending from the flag, wherein the rod includes an outer surface; a cam member including a camming surface, wherein the camming surface is communicatively-coupled to the outer surface of the rod; a driven shaft connected to the cam member, wherein the cam member further includes a one-way clutch, wherein the driven shaft extends through the one-way clutch; and a feed motor connected to the driven shaft. A method for operating the sub-assembly is also disclosed.

    摘要: An apparatus for positioning magnetically coded substrate relative to a read head that optimally positions the substrate against the read head. A beam arm is sized and formed to transmit a force to a contact head located at a first end of the beam arm. The contact head is formed by a recessed wedge defined by a lead-in and lead-out, both making contact with the substrate, transmitting a force at first location and second location of substrate, thereby flexing the substrate about the read head. The contact head maintains the position of the substrate in the active reading area of the read head, thus maximizing reading capability. Moreover, the apparatus is formed from a material entirely non-magnetic, having a low coefficient of friction, flexibility and a good resistance to wear.

    摘要: An automated document processing apparatus comprising a detector; a plurality of pockets; and a pocket selector gate assembly which causes a document being processed by the apparatus to be routed to one of the plurality of pockets based on information read from the document by the detector, the route of the document being determined by the position of a pocket selector gate, the pocket selector gate position being controlled by a motor which is mechanically coupled to the pocket selector gate, the mechanical coupling being such that, when the pocket selector gate is in a first position, the pocket selector gate is locked in place even after the motor has been deenergized. The mechanical coupling may be achieved by way of a link arm and pin, the pin mating with the link arm and engaging a mating slot of the pocket selector gate.

    摘要: An automated document processing system including a printing system is disclosed. The printing system includes a carriage mountable adjacent to a path of travel of a printable surface. The system also includes a print cartridge housing configured to hold a print cartridge having a printing aperture oriented toward the path of travel of the printable surface. The print cartridge housing is mounted to the chassis and moveable in a direction normal to the path of travel of the printable surface. The system further includes a clean and park station pivotally mounted to the chassis and capable of pivoting across the printing aperture of the print cartridge to wipe and cover the printing aperture. In the system disclosed, the print cartridge housing and the clean and park station are moveable between a printing position and a parked position.
