    摘要： Golf balls containing at least one layer made from a thermoplastic polyurethane or polyurethane-urea that is the reaction product of a polyisocyanate with moisture-resistant polyol and a curing agent are provided. The moisture-resistant polyol may be prepared by dimerizing unsaturated aliphatic monocarboxylic acid or ester containing 10 to 60 carbon atoms followed by reacting it with a monomeric, oligomeric, or polymeric diol. In one preferred version, the moisture-resistant polyol is a branched polyester polyol containing 36 carbon atoms. The composition can be prepared using prepolymer or one-shot manufacturing techniques. The resulting golf ball has desirable playing performance properties including high resiliency, toughness, impact durability, moisture-resistance, and soft feel.

Also, a golf ball comprising a core and at least one layer disposed about the core wherein at least one of the core and the layer comprises a thermoplastic or thermoset composition T comprising a reaction product of a polyurethane or polyurea prepolymer P comprising at least one isocyanate and a curative C comprising a blend of at least one aliphatic diamine D and at least one polyaspartic ester formed from reactants comprising at least one aliphatic primary polyamine and at least one maleic or fumaric diester, wherein the thermoplastic or thermoset composition T has a gel time X such that X>1.25Y, and wherein Y is the gel time of a thermoplastic or thermoset composition T′ comprising a reaction product of the polyurethane or polyurea prepolymer P and a curative C′ comprising a blend of aliphatic diamine D and a polyaspartic ester consisting of N,N′-diethylmaleate-2-methyl-pentamethylene diamine.

    摘要： The present invention is a multi-piece golf ball having a casing layer comprising of a single high acid based ionomer that is blended with an ultra high melt flow index maleic anhydride terpolymer with a melt flow index of at least 70 g/10 min. at 190° C. The maleic anhydride terpolymer comprises a copolymer of ethylene-alkyl acrylate-maleic anhdydride. The alkyl acrylate is selected from methyl, or ethyl, or propyl, or butyl, or pentyl acrylate. The maleic anhydride content in the terpolymer is 1 to 4% of the total blend by weight. The single high acid ionomer such as a copolymer of ethylene-acrylic or methacrylic is partially neutralized with a suitable cation such as lithium, sodium, magnesium, zinc, or potassium.
