摘要: Thermoplastic films are disclosed that are suitable for use as paint protection films. The films include a thermoplastic polymer layer comprising a thermoplastic polyurethane polymer and a polyvinyl acetal polymer. The films further comprise an adhesive layer. The thermoplastic films, when tested by ASTM D-412, exhibit a stress at 5% strain of no greater than 200 psi.

摘要: The present disclosure provides for a multilayer film having a sealant layer and a first layer, where the first layer is formed from a first polyolefin composition, and a laminate that includes the multilayer film. The first polyolefin composition of the first layer consists essentially of a high density polyethylene (HDPE) resin and a propylene-ethylene copolymer thermoplastic elastomer (TPE). In addition to the first layer of the first polyolefin composition and the sealant layer, the laminate also includes a substrate film and an adhesive layer comprising polyurethane in adhering contact with the substrate film and the first layer, where when the adhesive layer is formed from a solvent-free adhesive the adhesive layer has an elastic modulus of greater than 25 MPa, and when the adhesive layer is formed from a solvent-based adhesive the adhesive layer has an elastic modulus of greater than 0.30 MPa, the elastic modulus being measured for the polyurethane in accordance with ASTM D412.

摘要: A pipe belt system comprising one or more thermoplastic elastomeric (TPE) layers and a reinforcement layer is disclosed. The one or more thermoplastic elastomeric (TPE) layers have a first modulus of elasticity and a first stiffness and formed across a width of the belt. The reinforcement layer is formed proximate to the one or more TPE layers and has a second modulus of elasticity and a second stiffness. The pipe belt is configured to have an open state where the belt is substantially flat and a closed state where the belt is formed having a circular shape and partially overlaps itself. The pipe belt has a combined modulus of elasticity based on the first modulus of elasticity and the second modulus of elasticity and a combined stiffness based on the first stiffness and the second stiffness.

摘要: A laminate in which a thermoplastic elastomer film having greater stretchability in a stretch direction than in a width direction orthogonal to the stretch direction and nonwoven fabric sheets are laminated to each other, wherein the elastomer film and the sheets are laminated by being heat fused to each other at bonded portions intermittently arranged in the width direction and the stretch direction, and the sum of lengths of the bonded portions in the width direction in at least one side edge portion in the width direction per unit area of the laminate in that side edge portion is greater than the sum of lengths of the bonded portions in the width direction in a non-side edge portion in the width direction per unit area of the laminate in that non-side edge portion.

摘要: Compositions are provided including an uncrosslinked thermoplastic nitrogen-containing matrix material and composite particles distributed in the matrix material. The composite particles each include a chemical blowing agent particle encapsulated within a shell including an uncrosslinked thermoplastic material. The uncrosslinked thermoplastic material exhibits at least a certain minimum complex viscosity at a decomposition temperature of the chemical blowing agent particle. Also described are foam compositions and articles including the foam compositions, such as a sheet or multilayer construction. Composite particles are further provided. Methods of making the foam compositions are additionally described herein. Also, polishing pads, polishing systems, and methods of polishing a substrate are provided.

摘要: A laminate according to an aspect of the present invention includes an inner layer and a pair of outer layers laminated on both sides of the inner layer. The inner layer contains an inorganic filler and a first thermoplastic resin. Each of the outer layers contains a second thermoplastic resin. The inorganic filler includes calcium carbonate particles. A content of the inorganic filler in the laminate by ratio is more than 50% by mass. Each of the first thermoplastic resin and the second thermoplastic resin satisfies a specific condition. A total content, by ratio, of a first polyethylene resin, a second polyethylene resin, and a third polyethylene resin satisfying the specific condition in each of the first thermoplastic resin and the second thermoplastic resin is more than 90% by mass.
