    摘要: A zinc oxide thin film having desired crystallinity is fabricated. The present invention provides a zinc oxide thin film which laminated on a substrate, and which is a crystalline thin film of a wurtzite form. The c-axis of the crystalline thin film is oriented in a direction substantially perpendicular to the substrate. A zinc surface of being one polar surface of the crystalline thin film in the c-axis direction is formed in the uppermost layer. In addition, the invention also provides a zinc oxide thin film which is laminated on a substrate, and which is a crystalline thin film of a wurtzite form. The zinc oxide thin film is formed on a metal thin film layer by a thin film fabricating technique.

    摘要: The present invention aims to form an electron emission film containing an alkali metal compound or the like without causing alkali attack on the metal wiring. An FED display device comprises: an electron source including an electron emission film 13 on the surface thereof; and metal wirings 17, 18 and the like for supplying a signal or the like to the electron source. After forming on the surface of the metal wiring 18 an corrosion resistant film 21 comprising a reactive film or adsorption film with phosphorus, an alkali metal or the like is coated onto or added into the electron emission film 13. The addition of phosphorus is made fewer than the chemical equivalent of the alkali metal salt. Such configuration can improve the electron emission efficiency of the electron source without the metal wiring being corroded by alkali metal or the like.

    摘要: A liquid crystal display unit in which a voltage is applied to a pixel electrode and a common signal electrode constituted by two upper and lower transparent conductive layers having insulation layers disposed therebetween so that a liquid crystal is driven to control display can improve any one or both of reduction of a writing time of the liquid crystal (reduction of a capacitance between the pixel electrode and the common signal electrode) and reduction of a driving voltage of the liquid crystal. An inter-layer insulation layer between the transparent electrodes formed of different layers is constituted by at least one or a laminated structure of a part of a gate insulation layer, a part of a surface protection layer of a thin film transistor and an applied-type insulation layer and insulation layers in an area which is positioned above the lower transparent electrode.
