Abstract: This application discloses an adaptive transmission method for satellite communication. First, a receive end determines a redundancy version index; second, the receive end feeds back a redundancy version index signal to a transmit end; then, the transmit end receives the redundancy version index fed back by the receive end, and performs operations such as demodulation and decoding on the redundancy version index signal, to obtain the redundancy version index; and then, the transmit end obtains a corresponding redundancy version combination based on the obtained redundancy version index; and finally, the transmit end selects a proper diversity mode for transmission based on the obtained redundancy version combination.

At least one information block size IBS greater than or equal to a preset first specified value X is determined, and an IBS is selected from the at least one IBS to code an information block of bits or a code block of the information block of bits. X and a coding scheme are determined by a scenario, information type, and/or service type.

Abstract: A Polar code rate matching method and a rate matching apparatus are disclosed. The method includes: dividing a system Polar code output by a Polar code encoder into system bits and parity bits; interleaving the system bits to obtain a first group of interleaved bits, and interleaving the parity bits to obtain a second group of interleaved bits; and determining a rate-matched output sequence based on the first group of interleaved bits and the second group of interleaved bits. System bits and parity bits are separately interleaved, to obtain a rate-matched output sequence, so that a sequence structure after interleaving is more random, which can reduce an FER, thereby improving HARQ performance, and ensuring reliability of data transmission.
