摘要： A computerized document processing apparatus for creating an abstract includes document storage for storing a computerized document, keyword storage for storing keywords, an abstract creation section for creating an abstract by extracting at least a character string containing a keyword stored in the keyword storage section from the computerized document stored in the document storage section, a document modification section for modifying the computerized document to link the keyword in the computerized document with the same keyword in the abstract, and a display section for displaying the abstract and the modified document that is linked with the abstract. The modified document is displayed when the linked keyword in the abstract is selected.

摘要： A user interface enables the user to select a classification scheme from a group of classification schemes indicated by classification scheme information. The classification scheme information is stored in a classification-scheme storage unit as results of classification performed on data of arbitrary databases. The user interface also enables the user to select, from the group of databases, a database to which the selected classification scheme is applied. A classification module classifies the data of the selected database based on the selected classification scheme.

摘要： In an information filtering unit connected with user's video equipment by a communications line, a program content analyzing section analyzes the contents of broadcast programs from a broadcasting station in terms of substantial information such as video and sound. A collation evaluation section evaluates the similarity between the analyses and a user's profile stored in a profile storage section. A program selecting selection transmits the result of program selection to the video equipment in the form of time information. The video equipment receives and records a program from the broadcasting station in accordance with the time information sent from the information filtering unit.

摘要： A drawing information presentation apparatus has a memory for storing data representing a plurality of drawings, including text labels, and a concept dictionary memory for storing synonyms and connection relation for terms used in the text labels. A correspondence analysis section analyzes correspondence relation of elements of two drawings by referring to data of the concept dictionary memory. Then, a display section displays elements of a first drawing in a manner which demonstrates those elements of the first drawing which correspond to elements of the second drawing, from those elements of the first drawing which do not so correspond, in accordance with the analysis performed by the correspondence analysis section. The apparatus also comprises a drawing description analysis section for extracting drawing titles from document information, and for analyzing the correspondence relationship of the drawing titles between two drawings, by referring to date of the concept dictionary memory. In this case, the correspondence analysis section analyzes the correspondence relationships of elements between two drawings, whose titles are analyzed to correspond to each other by the drawing description analysis section.

摘要： A machine translation system including an input unit, a first text memory, a translation dictionary, a translation processor, a second text memory, and a control editor. The first and second text memories respectively store an original text and a translated text. The translation dictionary includes a word/idiom dictionary. The translation processor executes translation processing of the original text using the content of the translation dictionary to obtain the translated text. The control editor controls the respective units, and performs edit processing of at least the translated text. The control editor includes a changing section for changing a translated word in the translated text corresponding to a designated word in the original text to another translated word, and a replacing section for, when the translated word in the translated text corresponding to the designated word in the original text is changed to another translated word by the changing section, providing priority to a translated word in which a translated word portion corresponding to the designated word in the original text is replaced with the other translated word as a translated word corresponding to an entry word including the designated word in the original text in the word/idiom dictionary.

摘要： A machine translation system having input means having different function keys, edit keys, cursor keys as well as having normal character keys and numeric keys, for performing various functions for translation, edit control means for controlling the edition operation of the system, translation means coupled to the edit control means, for executing the translation processing in accordance with control signals from the edit control means, and dictionary means having at least a first dictionary for storing various words in various parts of speech in a first language and their translation in a second language corresponding to the words in the first language, and a second dictionary for storing various terminology in noun in the second language corresponding to the words in the first language as well as storing various grammars for the analysis of the languages with this constriction, the meaning of particular kinds of the parts of speech other than a noun takes precedence of the meaning of the Noun when determining words and idioms to be picked up from the first dictionary and when same terminology as a noun as that stored in the first dictionary is found in the second dictionary, the meaning of the terminology in the second dictionary takes precedence of the meaning of that stored in the first dictionary when producing the translated sentences, thereby performing a correct translation in high speed.
