    摘要: A storing unit stores therein dictionary information in which a first text in a first language is associated with a second text that is a translation of the first text into a second language. An extracting unit extracts, when an input text includes an unregistered text that is not registered as the first text in the dictionary information, the unregistered text from the input text. A translating unit translates an input similar text that expresses the unregistered text with a different text, into the second language. A registering unit registers the unregistered text in association with translated similar text on the dictionary information.

    摘要: A machine translation system having input means having different function keys, edit keys, cursor keys as well as having normal character keys and numeric keys, for performing various functions for translation, edit control means for controlling the edition operation of the system, translation means coupled to the edit control means, for executing the translation processing in accordance with control signals from the edit control means, and dictionary means having at least a first dictionary for storing various words in various parts of speech in a first language and their translation in a second language corresponding to the words in the first language, and a second dictionary for storing various terminology in noun in the second language corresponding to the words in the first language as well as storing various grammars for the analysis of the languages with this constriction, the meaning of particular kinds of the parts of speech other than a noun takes precedence of the meaning of the Noun when determining words and idioms to be picked up from the first dictionary and when same terminology as a noun as that stored in the first dictionary is found in the second dictionary, the meaning of the terminology in the second dictionary takes precedence of the meaning of that stored in the first dictionary when producing the translated sentences, thereby performing a correct translation in high speed.

The one of the error patterns associated with one of the conditions is the speech error, the utterance error occurrence determining unit further gives an incorrectly spoken word from the related word information, and the phoneme string generating unit generates a phoneme string of the incorrectly spoken word.

When a diagnosis condition is met, an intake-air quantity is successively accumulated to obtain an intake-air-quantity accumulation value, an intake-air-quantity average value is obtained as an average of the intake-air quantity from the start of diagnosis, and, on the basis of this intake-air-quantity average value, an intake-air-quantity accumulation threshold value is set. When the intake-air-quantity accumulation value reaches the intake-air-quantity accumulation threshold value, the diagnosis is terminated, and an output reversal number of the downstream-side exhaust gas sensor during the diagnosis period is compared with a threshold value to judge whether the sensor is normal or degraded. By setting the intake-air-quantity accumulation threshold value on the basis of the intake-air-quantity average value, influence from the flow velocity of the exhaust gas passing through a catalytic device and the downstream-side exhaust gas sensor is removed.
