Abstract:
A write power determining method for an optical disk drive is provided which can determine optimum write power information of an optical disk during the high-speed rotation of the disk. The write power determining method comprises the steps of: obtaining push-pull signal amplitude at two positions in a radial direction of an optical disk before writing; on the basis of the obtained push-pull signal amplitude, determining a linearization value of optimum write power associated with radial positions over the whole writing area of the disk; and adopting the determined result as optimum write power information associated with the radial positions of the disk.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a surface acoustic wave device and a production process thereof. An electrode is formed by alternately laminating a film of an aluminum alloy containing at least copper added thereto and a copper film on a piezoelectric substrate. While the particle size of the multi-layered electrode materials in kept small, the occurrence of voids in the film is prevented and life time of the surface acoustic wave device is elongated.
Abstract:
A surface acoustic wave resonator including at least one interdigital transducer formed on a piezoelectric substrate, wherein the at least one interdigital transducer includes a predetermined number of interdigitated electrode fingers, at least two electrode fingers among the interdigitated electrode fingers are withdrawn, and the positions of the withdrawal electrode fingers are aperiodic.
Abstract:
A disk system capable of sharing portions at which disks are disposed, thereby miniaturizing the entire structure of the system. The disk system includes a plurality of stockers for containing disks in such a manner as to substantially align rotational axial lines of the disks to each other. The disk system also includes a stocker moving mechanism for moving the stockers to specific positions. The disk system also includes a disk driving mechanism for rotating the disks contained in the stockers. The disk system is arranged so that the stocker moving mechanism moves, on the basis of a command, at least one of a desired stocker and another stocker for providing a first gap between the desired stocker and another stocker, and also moves, on the basis of the command, at least one of the desired stocker and a stocker facing to a specific surface of the desired stocker for further enlarging only the gap provided between the desired stocker and the stocker facing to the specific surface of the desired stocker up to a second gap.
