Abstract: A method and an apparatus for joining a centralized cluster is disclosed. The method includes: receiving a DMG Beacon frame sent by a first S-AP, where the DMG Beacon frame includes cluster information of the first S-AP; measuring, according to the cluster information of the first S-AP, signal quality and a state of each Beacon SP included in a BI of the first S-AP; if a Beacon SP whose state is an idle state is obtained by means of measurement, associating the Beacon SP with the first S-AP as a non-PCP/non-AP station, and receiving an Announce frame sent by the first S-AP; selecting one S-AP from the first S-AP and the second S-AP as a to-be-joined S-AP; and joining a centralized cluster of the to-be-joined S-AP.

Abstract: A multi-video stream transmission method and a device, where an access point sets an initial sending time and a sending period of an intra frame (I frame) of each station (STA) associated with the access point, and allocates an I frame service period and a predictive frame (P frame) service period to each STA according to the initial sending time and the sending period of the I frame of each STA, where each STA exclusively occupies a channel in the I frame service period and the P frame service period such that I frame sending time of STAs are staggered, network load balance is achieved, and it is ensured that a latency of each STA meets a quality of service (QoS) requirement.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a clustering method, including: adjusting, by a first device, a beginning of its own first small bandwidth beacon transmission interval to be aligned with a selected empty Beacon SP, setting its own BI to be equal to a synchronization device beacon interval S-BI, and joining, after accordingly adjusting an interval VBI for sending a beacon frame on a large bandwidth channel and an interval SBBI for sending a beacon frame on a small bandwidth channel, a target small bandwidth cluster; or sending a beacon frame including a cluster probe IE over a large bandwidth channel, requesting, by using the cluster probe IE, a synchronization PCP to return cluster synchronization information and control information, and joining the target large bandwidth cluster according the information and a second PCP.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for selecting a network controller and a station device. Supported channel width sets of multiple station STA devices are acquired; a PCP factor of the each STA device is generated according to a supported channel width set and an acquired directional multi-gigabit DMG capability information element of the each STA device, where the PCP factor includes the supported channel width set; a STA device with a largest PCP factor is selected as a PCP. Using the method for selecting a PCP and the STA device provided in the present invention can improve reliability of a wireless local area network WLAN.
