Abstract:
The present invention discloses a method and an apparatus for establishing a direct tunnel, which relate to the field of communications network technologies and can reduce the number of signaling messages that need to be processed on a GGSN or an SGW and reduce signaling load on the GGSN or the SGW. In the embodiments of the present invention, a mobility management network element determines that a character of a user terminal satisfies a preset condition for establishing a direct tunnel; a request message is sent to a gateway to establish a downlink direct tunnel between a radio access network and the gateway; and a response message sent by the gateway is received, where the response message is used to confirm that the downlink direct tunnel between the radio access network and the gateway has been successfully established.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide a message processing method and apparatus, and relate to the field of communications technologies. The method includes: comparing a message feature of a currently processed message with a specified tracking feature; determining a user corresponding to the message as a target user when determining that the message feature matches the tracking feature; and reporting a signaling message of the target user to a network management server. In the present invention, a network fault is quickly located, and network connection efficiency is improved.
Abstract:
An access node, a mobility management network element and a paging message processing method where the method includes, after the mobility management network element receives a node capability notification message sent by the access node, where the node capability notification message is used to indicate that the access node supports use of a user datagram protocol, which is different from a stream control transmission protocol, to receive a paging message from the mobility management, the mobility management network element selects and uses the user datagram protocol to send a first paging message to the access node such that a requirement of a user for reliable transmission of a paging message may be met, a consumption degree of resources of the mobility management network element may be reduced, and occurrence of congestion on the mobility management network element may be avoided.
Abstract:
A policy decision function (PDF) addressing method includes: receiving a PDF allocation request that contains a user equipment (UE) identifier (ID) from a second network element (NE); obtaining ID information of a PDF associated with the UE ID according to pre-registered addressing information of the PDF, where the addressing information of the PDF is an association between the UE ID and the ID information of the PDF, and the PDF associated with the UE ID is accessed by a first NE; and sending the obtained ID information of the PDF to the second NE.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to communications technologies and discloses a tunnel management method, a tunnel management apparatus, and a communications system so that a node that causes failure of a tunnel management request can be determined. According to the present invention, a response returned by a tunnel management node to an initiating node includes not only a cause value of tunnel management request failure but also information of the node that causes failure of the tunnel management request, so that the initiating node can find the node that causes failure of the tunnel management request and determine the error checking direction. The present invention is applicable to network devices in a communications network.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, an apparatus and a system for handling node failure. The method for handling node failure includes: sending, by an intermediate node, a context processing request message to a remote node when detecting that a first node occurs a failure, where the context processing request message is used to instruct the remote node to delete context information associated with the first node and the intermediate node; and deleting the context information associated with the first node and the intermediate node, by the remote node, according to the request message. The technical solution can enable the remote node to process the context information associated with the first node in time
Abstract:
A method for allocating paging areas includes: determining a basic paging area currently visited by a User Equipment (UE); and allocating a paging area to this UE according to a history record of motion trace of UEs located in the basic paging area currently visited by this UE. An apparatus for allocating paging areas is disclosed.
Abstract:
A method for accessing a local network includes: subscribing, by a network device, to service area change information of user equipment, where the service area change information of the user equipment indicates that the user equipment enters or leaves a service area of the local network; receiving, by the network device, the service area change information of the user equipment; and performing, based on the received service area change information, policy control for the user equipment accessing or leaving the local network. In this way, access to the local network is accurately controlled, and is not affected by wireless network planning and adjustment, which greatly enhances user experience in use of the local network.
Abstract:
This application provides a communication method and apparatus. The method includes: A terminal device receives information about an enhanced service area allowed to be accessed, where the information about the enhanced service area allowed to be accessed includes information about one or more enhanced service areas; the terminal device receives information about a first enhanced service area corresponding to a first area from an access node after entering the first area; and the terminal device determines that the terminal device is allowed to access the first enhanced service area based on the information about the enhanced service area allowed to be accessed and the information about the first enhanced service area.
Abstract:
In a method for performing access control on user equipment, a mobility management device receives from an access node device an access type parameter of the user equipment. The access type parameter indicates a radio access type of the user equipment or a type of the access node device. The mobility management device determines, based on the access type parameter, a connection type of the user equipment in accessing a core network, wherein the connection type is either single connectivity or dual connectivity. The mobility management device then performs access control on the user equipment based on the connection type of the user equipment.
