摘要: Mechanisms and techniques for processing information in a management application, such as a storage area network management application, include a load manager, a set of distributed agents that collect information, and a set of store process that store the agent-collected information. The load manager receives load information from a plurality of store processes. The load information indicates a relative processing load for respective store processes. The load manager determines store process availability based on the received load information. The load manager receives a store assignment request from an agent that has an agent transaction to perform with a store process and assigns a store process of the plurality of store processes for the agent to use to perform the agent transaction based on the determined store process availability. In addition, other embodiments include the use of agent transaction weights to allow the store process and/or the load manager to further load-balance agent transactions between store processes.

摘要: A testing system and a method for obtaining drive files for the testing system for wheel rim testing, includes providing a wheel assembly in contact with a drum surface, the wheel assembly being rotatable about an axis defining a lateral axis, and wherein a vertical axis extends through a drum surface in contact with a tire of the wheel assembly and is orthogonal to the lateral axis, and a longitudinal axis is defined orthogonal to both the lateral and vertical axes. A parameter is measured indicative of an overturning moment applied to the wheel rim about the longitudinal axis. A camber angle of the wheel rim relative to the drum surface is adjusted to obtain a desired overturning moment on the wheel rim about the longitudinal axis.

摘要: A converter coupled to a DC voltage input and connectable to a load, includes a signal responsive switch coupled between a first circuit point and a second circuit point. Current flow is directed by the switch, when in a closed state, to the second circuit point to bypass the load. A regulator circuit has an output coupled to a control input of the switch. The regulator circuit has a first input for receiving a sensed load parameter, a second input for receiving a sensed current level signal at the second circuit point when the switch is in its closed state, and a third input for receiving a sensed current level signal at the second circuit point, measured directly, when the switch is in an open state. A fixed minimum time is set for the switch to be in the open state. The third input inhibits re-closing of the switch, providing current limit protection for the switch.

摘要: Graphic processor compares z-buffer values of 3D objects to detect and mark interpenetrating pixels. Tag buffer stores marked values for antialiazing effectively by over-sampling, area-based, blending, alpha edge or other pixel-processing scheme. Performance is improved by selectively antialiazing at edges and/or interpenetrations. Cost is reduced by leveraging z-buffer storage therefor. Super-sampling antialiazing reduces sampling of select interpenetration elements, thereby avoiding processing entire image.

摘要: Various embodiments of a method and apparatus for managing the allocation of items to processing stations in an order fulfillment process are described. The apparatus for managing the allocation of items to processing stations in an order fulfillment process may include a conveyance mechanism including at least one item inducted into the conveyance mechanism. The apparatus for managing the allocation of items to processing stations in an order fulfillment process may also include an item allocation component. The item allocation component may be configured to assign the item to a particular sorting station of a group of multiple sorting stations. The item allocation component may determine the particular sorting station to which the item is assigned based upon a determined quantity of other items located at the particular sorting station and a determined quantity of other items en route to the particular sorting station.

摘要: Various embodiments of a system and method for generating a visual display indicating the status of multiple shipping loads are described. The embodiments described herein may include one or more displays and a display control component configured to control the displays. In various embodiments, the display control component may track items (e.g., freight, inventory, etc.) shipped to a materials handling facility and generate a display to visually indicate the various statuses as a graphical representation. As described in more detail herein, such a display may provide agents with greater visibility into the various processes performed in the materials handling facility. To do so, the various displays under the control of the display control component may in some embodiments be strategically located within the materials handling facility. For instance, such displays may be present in inbound and outbound docking areas in the presence of one or more agents.

摘要: Methods and apparatuses for the processing of receptacles containing heterogeneous inventory items in materials handling facilities are generally described. Dirty picking may be described as a mechanism for the “batch” processing of a receptacle which includes multiple heterogeneous inventory items with different identification codes in a materials handling facility as if all of the items in the receptacle have been ordered, even though one or more of the items may have not been ordered. Through the implementation of a dirty pick mechanism, instead of processing individual items in a receptacle, the entire receptacle may be “dirty picked” and all of the items within the receptacle may be processed “downstream” at a processing station, during which needed items for processing may be selected, and “overage” items may be put aside to be disposed, e.g. by being restocked.

摘要: Techniques for processing instant messages (IM) received from entities destined for IM clients are provided. An IM module is used to receive the instant messages and process them. In one embodiment, the IM module may be used to determine if a message is spam (or spim) or not. The IM module receives an instant message for the IM client and determines if a challenge message should be sent to the sender of the IM. The challenge IM is an IM that is sent to the sender of the IM that necessitates a challenge. If a response to the IM challenge is received at the IM module, it is determined if the response satisfies an answer required by the challenge IM. If the response satisfies the answer, the IM received may be forwarded to the intended recipient IM client. Additionally, a method for processing buddy list events using an IM module is provided.
