Abstract: In an online concierge system, a shopper retrieves items specified in an order by a customer from a retail location. The online concierge system optimizes order fulfillment by selecting a retail location for an order that is most time-efficient and that is most likely to have each of the item in the order available. Hence, the online concierge system may select a less convenient retail location that is more likely to have each item being ordered available. To predict whether a retail location incompletely fulfill the order if selected to fulfill the order, the online concierge system trains a machine learning model based on prior orders fulfilled by the retail location, a shopper retrieving items in the order, items in the order, and other features.

Abstract: An optimized substitution system can include a computing device that is configured to receive a notification indicating an order and a first item identifier and, based on the first item identifier, identify a set of substitute item identifiers. Each substitute item identifier of the set of substitute item identifiers includes a probability value using an optimization computation based on a similarity and a value of the corresponding set of substitute item identifiers and the first item identifier. The similarity and the value are stored in a database. The compute device is also configured to, based on the probability values corresponding to the set of substitute item identifiers, select a first substitute item identifier of the set of substitute item identifiers and update the order to include the first substitute item identifier and exclude the first item identifier.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method can instantiate a net graph based on one or more existing bills of materials for one or more known entities. Abstract: A system for processing images captured in a retail store and automatically identifying misplaced products is provided. The system may comprise at least one processor configured to receive one or more images captured by one or more image sensors from an environment of a retail store, detect in the one or more images a first product, determine that the first product is not located in the first correct display location, cause an issuance of a user-notification associated with the first product, detect in the one or more images a second product, determine that the second product is not located in the second correct display location, and after determining that the second product is not located in the second correct display location and when the second urgency level is lower than the first urgency level, withhold issuance of a user-notification associated with the second product.

Abstract: The present disclosure involves systems, software, and computer implemented methods for bundling line item based events in an event-driven architecture. One example method includes receiving, at a message outbox of a first microservice, a new line-item based event. A determination is made as to whether a compatible open event bundle can be located. In response to locating the compatible open event bundle, the compatible open event bundle is updated to include the new line-item based event. In response to determining that the compatible open event bundle cannot be located, the compatible open event bundle is created as a new open event bundle and the new open event bundle is updated to include the new line-item based event. The compatible open event bundle is closed in response to a closing condition. A bundled event message is generated and sent to a second microservice.

Abstract: Systems and methods for automatically managing and utilizing the uniform labeling of data packages are disclosed. Specification information can describe many aspects of a data package, and can be analyzed to automatically identify various product attributes and service attributes usable to define the data package. Each of the individual product attributes and service attributes can be encoded into an alphanumeric code, which can be concatenated together to form a single uniform package identifier (UPID) usable to describe the associated data product. Systems and methods can automatically generate UPIDs, automatically find data packages based on search UPIDs, automatically process invoices based on UPIDs, and otherwise leverage the UPIDs to automate the collection, creation, selling, purchasing, trading, redistribution, and/or using of data packages.

Abstract: Methods and enhanced apparatus used in such methods are described that a dispatched logistics operation for a deliverable item from a hold-at-location (HAL) logistics facility having a secured storage and using a modular autonomous bot apparatus assembly and a dispatch server. The bot apparatus assembly picks up and delivers the item from the HAL facility in response to a delivery dispatch command from the dispatch server. In response, the MAM of the bot verifies compatibility of modular components for the operation, controls receiving of the deliverable item from the secured storage at the HAL facility, then autonomously causes movement to the delivery destination. The MAM notifies the customer before delivery of the approaching delivery, authenticates delivery is to the authorized customer, provides access to the item within the bot apparatus assembly, monitors unloading of the item, then autonomously moves back to the HAL facility.
