    Abstract: Technology is disclosed for a Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) management system operable for peer-to-peer (P2P) edge computing in a fifth generation (5G) computing network. The 3GPP management system can be configured to: identify a user plane function (UPF) based on quality of service (QoS) requirements. The 3GPP management system can be configured to request, from an edge computing management system, deployment of an application server (AS). The 3GPP management system can be configured to request a network functions virtualization (NFV) orchestrator (NFVO) to connect the UPF and the AS based on the QoS requirements.

    Abstract: A device includes one or more processors to collect data corresponding to network function (NF) performance measurements by one or more network element, each network element including one of a NR Node B (gNB), a 5G core network (5G CN) network element or network function, or an apparatus hosting a non-3GPP access Interworking Function (a N3IWF-hosting apparatus), wherein the performance measurements are related to at least one of registration via trusted non-3GPP access, service requests via trusted non-3GPP access, Quality of Service (QoS) flow management, QoS flow modification in a Next Generation Radio Access Network (NG-RAN), handovers between 5GS and an evolved packet system (EPS) measured in NG-RAN, handovers from 5GS to EPS, or handovers from EPS to 5GS; and generate and cause transmission through a management service interface of one or more reports on the NF performance measurements to a service consumer to be used by the service consumer to manage the 5GS.

    Abstract: Systems and methods provide solutions to add a physical network function (PNF) instance to a network service (NS), modify PNF instances in an NS, and remove PNF instances from an NS. For example, a process may include sending an update NS request from the management function to a network functions virtualization orchestrator (NFVO) to update the NS instance, the update NS request comprising an NS instance identifier, an update type, and PNF information; receiving an update NS response from the NFVO, the update NS response comprising a lifecycle operation occurrence identifier corresponding to an NS lifecycle operation occurrence; receiving an NS Lifecycle Change notification from the NFVO, the NS Lifecycle Change notification indicating a start of an NS update; and receiving an NS identifier change notification from the NFVO, the NS identifier change notification indicating a result of the NS update.
