摘要： Apparatus for dispensing paper from rolls which feeds continuously, roll to roll, and does not require extra procedure to bring stub roll into position. The apparatus holds and positions at least first and second rolls of paper with respect to each other, dispensing paper from the first and second rolls simultaneously when the first roll reduces to a predetermined diameter of paper, positioning the depleted first roll for replacement without the necessity of removing the second roll; and dispensing from the second and replacement rolls simultaneously when the second roll reduces to a predetermined diameter of paper. The apparatus also has a proximity sensor, which senses when a hand is placed near the dispenser, and thereupon dispenses a set amount of towel. The dispenser dissipates static charges to a local ground such as a high impedance wall surface on which the dispenser is mounted.

摘要： A paper dispenser including a carriage that is rotatable between at least a first orientation and a second orientation. The carriage holds at least two rolls of paper. In the first orientation, the first roll is in a primary position and the second roll is in a secondary position. In the second orientation, the first roll is in the secondary position and the second roll is in the primary position. A roll sensor senses the amount of paper remaining on the roll held in the primary position. Paper from at least one of the two rolls is fed into a feed mechanism for dispensation. A transfer mechanism feeds paper from the roll held in the secondary position into the feed mechanism when the roll sensor senses that the paper on the roll held in the primary position is depleted to less than a predetermined diameter.

A coreless roll of sheet material is disposed on the support with the lead end of the sheet material extending from the coreless roll center through the dispensing aperture. The coreless roll has either channels or projections formed at the ends thereof which cooperate with stabilizing elements on the housing to resist movement of the coreless roll and collapse of the coreless roll as it nears depletion.

摘要： A gravity-feed tissue roll dispenser for a plurality of tissue rolls includes: (a) a housing; (b) a supply turret with a plurality of spindles for mounting a plurality of tissue rolls for dispensing; (c) means for rotatably mounting the supply turret in the housing about a center of rotation such that a vertical line through the center of rotation of the turret defines a biasing sector of the dispenser and the spindles rotate between upper and lower positions, the dispenser also having a dispensing sector adjacent the biasing sector; (d) stop means adapted for securing a loaded spindle in an elevated dispensing position in the dispensing sector of the tissue dispenser, the dispensing position being elevated with respect to a lower limit of travel of the spindle upon rotation of the turret; wherein the stop means are responsive to depletion of the loaded spindle so as to allow rotation of the turret upon depletion of a roll of tissue mounted thereabout; and wherein further the turret and stop means are configured such that when a loaded spindle is secured in the elevated dispensing position: (i) at least two spindles are in the biasing sector of the dispenser and (ii) the number of spindles in the biasing sector is equal to or greater than the number of other spindles of the dispenser, such that when the dispenser is fully loaded with a plurality of like tissue rolls, depletion of a roll in the elevated dispensing position distributes the weight of tissue in the dispenser so as to bias the turret in a dispensing direction.

摘要： A roll support sled is adapted to support a plurality of rolls of absorbent sheet, such as rolls of coreless tissue for mounting in a dispenser of the class including a pair of vertically oriented guide tracks for guiding the roll support sled in vertical motion for sequential dispensing of the rolls. At least one of the guide tracks of the dispenser defines a locking shoulder and the roll support sled includes: first and second spindles, first and second frame rails, one of which is movable, as well as a novel latch dog assembly. The latch dog assembly is inwardly biased and disposed adjacent at least one of the spindles. The latch dog is configured so that it is urged outwardly to a locking position upon disposing a roll of absorbent sheet about its adjacent spindle and is biased inwardly to a release position upon depletion of the roll of absorbent sheet material disposed about its adjacent spindle. In a preferred embodiment the latch dog assembly includes a pivotally mounted gauge member adapted to engage the end of a roll of absorbent sheet material positioned about its adjacent spindle whereby the gauge member is urged outwardly into generally parallel alignment with a frame rail of the support sled upon contact with the roll of absorbent sheet material. When contacted by a full roll, the latch dog assembly is urged outwardly to its locking position. Upon depletion of the roll of absorbent sheet material disposed on the spindle, the latch dog assembly pivots inwardly so that it assumes its release position. The support sled then drops vertically, for instance, under the influence of gravity to expose a reserve roll of absorbent sheet material for dispensing.

摘要： A toilet tissue dispensing mechanism includes a unit formed by a pair of parallel vertical walls. Each wall includes vertically spaced openings arranged such that the openings of each wall are in vertically staggered relationship with the openings of the other wall when the movable wall is closed. Each opening has a roll-mounting structure associated therewith, whereby each wall is capable of concurrently dispensing a pair of tissue rolls. Each roll-mounting structure includes a shield mounted for swinging movement between open and closed positions for securing the rolls in their respective openings. To convert such a mechanism to a dispenser which dispenses rolls sequentially rather than concurrently, the shields are swung to their open positions, and adapter plates are positioned against inside surfaces of respective ones of the walls to cover the openings therein. The plates are pressed against the respective walls by edges of the shields. Sequential-roll dispensers are then attached to exterior surfaces of the plates.
