摘要： An electrophotographic fixing member is provided, which is excellent in toner releasability and hard to change in rubber elasticity of a silicone rubber elastic layer. The fixing member is laminated with a substrate, a cured silicone rubber layer, a cured silicone rubber adhesive layer and a fluorine resin layer, wherein when infrared light absorption strength ratios (1020 cm−1/1260 cm−1) at 1020 cm−1 and 1260 cm−1 determined by sampling the portions of 5 μm and 20 μm from the outer surface of the cured silicone rubber layer are taken as α(5) and α(20), respectively, a relationship of α(5) and α(20) satisfies 1.03≦α(5)/α(20)≦1.30 and α(20) is 0.8 or more and 1.2 or less.

摘要： In a heat fixing member which is a seamless type cylindrical heat fixing member having an elastic layer, the elastic layer is mixed with carbon fibers, and the elastic layer has a thermal conductivity of 1.0 W/(m·K) or more in the thickness direction thereof. A heat fixing member is provided which is more improved in the thermal conductivity in the thickness direction, can efficiently supply heat to the heating object (recording medium) at the time of high-speed printing, can give fixed images having a high glossiness in virtue of the elastic layer, which has secured a sufficient flexibility. A high-performance heat fixing assembly is also provided which can conduct sufficient heat to toner images even if the dwell time is shortened.

摘要： An acrylonitrile solution of maleimide manifesting transparency, precluding coloration and opacification during the course of handling, and excelling in stability, a method for the preparation of the acrylonitrile solution, and an acrylonitrile based copolymer obtained by using the acrylonitrile solution are provided.The acrylonitrile solution of maleimide is such that, when it is subjected to a forced coloration test, the differences .DELTA.L, .DELTA.a, and .DELTA.b values (invariably as absolute values) each between L, a, and b values before and after the test are respectively not more than 5, not more than 5, and not more than 10. The acrylonitrile solution of maleimide is prepared by lowering the water content in the acrylonitrile solution to a level of not more than 0.1% by weight, or causing the acrylonitrile solution to permit coexistence therein of at least one member selected from the group consisting of alkyl-substituted hydroxybenzenes and hindered phenols and at least one member selected from the group consisting of phosphorous esters, phosphoric esters, phosphine, and phosphoric acid amides, or lowering the water content in the acrylonitrile solution to a level of not more than 0.3% by weight and causing the acrylonitrile solution to permit coexistence therein of at least one member selected from the group consisting of alkyl-substituted hydroxybenzenes, hindered phenols, phosphorous esters, phosphoric esters, phosphine, and phosphoric acid amides.

摘要： An image fixing roller includes a core metal made of aluminum alloy and having a surface with fine recesses of 50-500 angstroms in diameter formed by providing an aluminum oxide layer on the surface of the core metal. A fluorine resin heat shrinkable tube with a shrinkage ratio of not less than 5% is wrapped directly on the core metal without use of a primer. The aluminum oxide layer and the inner surface of the core metal will be electrolytically plated with nickel so as to form a black layer.
