    摘要： In a fixing belt having at least a release layer and a metal layer formed of electroformed nickel, the electroformed nickel has, in its crystal texture, crystallites having an average size of 0.05 &mgr;m or more and 0.2 &mgr;m or less. This fixing belt has high durability, and an image heat fixing assembly using this fixing belt has high durability and high reliability and realizes low-energy heating by utilizing a heating element with a small heat capacity.

    摘要： An image heating device is provided with a film having an electrical conductive layer, a magnetic flux generating unit. An eddy current is generated on the electrical conductive layer by the magnetic flux generated by the magnetic flux generating unit. The electrical conductive layer generates heat, and an image is heated by the heat of the film. The film is provided with an elastic layer arranged on the image side of the electrical conductive layer, and a primer layer is arranged between the electrical conductive layer and the elastic layer. It is possible to effectuate a heating fixation that can be started quickly with generating no nonuniformity in the image gloss and maintaining a high image quality.

    摘要： A pressure roller forming a nip portion for contacting to a heating member to pinch and convey and heat recording material includes: a core metal and an elastic layer containing filler, the elastic layer containing the filler including thermal conductive filler with length of not less than 0.05 mm and not more than 1 mm and with thermal conductivity λf in the longitudinal direction in a range of λf≧500 W/(m·k) being dispersed in not less than 5 vol. % and not more than 40 vol % and the elastic layer containing the filler providing thermal conductivity λy in the longitudinal direction perpendicular to a recording material conveyance direction being λy≧2.5 W/(m·k) and ASKER-C hardness of the filler being not more than 60 degrees, wherein a solid rubber elastic layer with thermal conductivity λ in a thickness direction being not less than 0.16 W/(m·k) and not more than 0.40 W/(m·k) is included and the solid rubber elastic layer is formed on an outer periphery of the core metal and the elastic layer containing the filler is formed on the outer periphery of the solid rubber elastic layer. As a result, a pressure roller which can suppress temperature rise in a region, where recording material does not pass, stabilizes conveyability, provides high endurance, provides high thermal conductivity and low hardness is provided.

The composite material has an island-in-sea structure wherein the organopolysiloxane stands as a sea phase and the fluoroelastomer containing no fluorine resin or containing a fluorine resin stands as an island phase. The particles of the island phase have a size ranging from 1 &mgr;m to 10 &mgr;m. The fixing-unit roller has superior toner releasability and superior scratch resistance and wear resistance.
