Abstract:
A camera comprises a photographic information output circuit section, a CPU, a PPM signal conversion circuit section, a drive section for a plurality of magnetic heads, and a film feeding section. The CPU converts several parallel data items which are output from the photographic information output circuit section into a single serial data item and outputs it to the PPM signal conversion circuit section provided separately from the CPU. The PPM signal conversion circuit section converts this single serial data item into several PPM signals, and then supplies the PPM signals to the magnetic head drive section.
Abstract:
The present invention is applicable to a camera capable of reading in film specific information recorded by means of a bar code. This film specific information is inscribed upon a display portion which rotates together with the forwarding of a film stored within a cartridge. The camera includes: a photointerruptor which optically reads the bar code on the bar code display portion as the bar code display portion rotates together with the forwarding of the film, and which outputs as an electrical signal of the result thus read; a comparator which compares the output signal from the photointerruptor with a threshold level; a calculation device for calculating a standard value for setting the threshold level based upon the output signal from the photointerruptor; a reference value control device which controls the threshold level according to the standard value; and a determination device which determines the film specific information based upon the output of the comparator.
Abstract:
A perforation detector of a camera comprises a light emitting unit for emitting light to a film, a photo-sensor for sensing reflected light from the film to produce a signal representing a sensed light intensity, the light intensity of the reflected light varying with presence or absence of a perforation at a reflection area of the film, a detection unit for comparing the signal from the photo-sensor with a predetermined value to detect a perforation of the film, and a control unit for controlling the light intensity of the light emitting unit in accordance with the signal from the photo-sensor.
Abstract:
Information recording device according to the invention is of the type which records information in an information recording area of each image frame on a film, as the film is advanced by film feeding mechanism. The device comprises an information recording head positioned downstream, with respect to the film feeding direction, of the front end of the information recording area of the image frame opposed to an exposure aperture of the camera; a timer for measuring the time elapsed after the start of film feeding by the film feeding mechanism; and a controller for causing the information recording head to start the information recording in the information recording area of the film when the timer measures a time required, after the start of film feeding, for the front end of the information recording area to reach the information recording head.
Abstract:
A camera provides information to a printer to produce a print in which an image of a photographed object is of a desired size. More particularly, the enlargement magnification of a printer is controlled in accordance with information recorded on a recording medium in a camera. Determination of the enlargement magnification involves various parameters including, for example, a specified desired magnification (requested magnification) and photographing magnification, which may be determined by calculation from object distance and focal length of the photographing lens. Modification data may be produced to accommodate changes in photographing angle that accompany focusing of the photographing lens. Focal length or object distance may be varied as required to provide a print image size as close as possible to that desired (and within limitations of the camera).
Abstract:
A controller for a camera is provided with a first zoom signal output device operatively associated with the half depressing operation of a release operation member and outputting a first zoom signal for directing a photographing lens to a focal length preset on the camera, a second zoom signal output device outputting a second zoom signal for arbitrarily varying the focal length of the photographing lens by a manual operation, a drive device responsive to the first or second zoom signal to electrically drive the photographing lens and effect zooming, a mode command device for commanding the setting and release of an auto focal length mode in which the focal length of the photographing lens is changed with the first zoom signal, by a manual operation, and a control device for operating the first zoom signal output device by the first half depressing operation of the release operation member when the auto focal length mode is set, and releasing the auto focal length mode when the second zoom signal is output during the time from after the half depressing operation is released until the next shutter release, and thereafter inhibiting the operation of the first zoom signal output device until the shutter release is effected even if the half depressing operation is done.
Abstract:
Photographing information is stored for each exposed frame of film in a camera, and the stored information is read out and magnetically recorded at each frame during feeding of the film in a predetermined direction. If a film feeding failure occurs while information is being recorded, a film feed failure signal is generated, which causes the film to be fed in the opposite direction and then to be fed in the predetermined direction again for recording of information read out from storage.
Abstract:
A camera has an exposure device for effecting a photographing operation on a film in response to manipulation of a member, and a self-timer for causing the exposure device to effect the photographing operation after the counting of a predetermined time. The self-timer has a first state for causing the exposure device to effect the photographing operation only once and a second state for causing the exposure device to effect the photographing operation plural times. The camera comprises a first display for indicating that the self-timer is in an operable state, a second display for indicating that the exposure device functions plural times in response to the manipulation of the member, independently of the self-timer, and a control device for controlling the first and second displays. The control device is adapted to only activate the first display in the first state of the self-timer and to activate both the first and second display in the second state of the self-timer.
Abstract:
A camera has an electrically zoomable lens with two modes. In the first mode, the zooming is continued during the continuation of a manual operation. In the second mode, the zooming is conducted to a focal length corresponding to stored information, which corresponds to a focal length arbitrarily selected in the zooming of the first mode. The stored information is retained even when the second mode is released, and the zooming to the focal length corresponding to the stored information is possble when the second mode is set again.
Abstract:
A film holder for storing a processed film is provided with a film holding section including a film container capable of accommodating a processed film to allow the film to be viewed therethrough and an information recording medium in which is recorded printing conditions concerning the processed film, and an information holding section provided on the film container for holding the information recording medium. The information holding section may be arranged to record information in electrical, magnetic or optical form. The film container may have a pair of film spools which support a processed film and an observation window which allows one frame of the processed film to be viewed therethrough. The information holding section may be arrranged to hold information relative to a printing process including color-correction information and the like.
