The invention provides an ink composition for ink-jet printing which does not cause clogging of nozzles of an ink-jet printer during printing, to thereby provide a print of desired printing quality; which ensures an appropriate drying rate of printed images; and which attains excellent color development. The ink composition for ink-jet printing, containing a pigment, a binder resin, a pigment dispersant, and a solvent, wherein the solvent is formed of (1) at least one glycol ether and at least one of a lactone compound and 2-pyrrolidone, or (2) at least one glycol ether acetate and at least one of cyclohexane and isophorone.

A method of producing an electrostatic image developing toner comprising toner particles comprising a binder resin containing at least a non-crystalline polyester resin having a crosslinking structure and a crystalline polyester resin, the method comprising the steps of (a-1) preparing a crystalline polyester resin particle aqueous dispersion liquid; (a-2) preparing a polymerizable unsaturated non-crystalline polyester resin aqueous dispersion liquid; (b) preparing crosslinking non-crystalline polyester resin particles by adding a radical polymerization initiator to the aqueous dispersion liquid of particles containing the non-crystalline polyester resin having a polymerizable unsaturated bond; (c) preparing core particles by aggregating at least the particles containing the crystalline polyester resin in an aqueous medium; and (d) preparing a shell layer containing the non-crystalline polyester resin having a crosslinking structure by fusing the particles containing the non-crystalline polyester resin having a crosslinking structure on surfaces of the core particles in an aqueous medium.

A toner for developing electrostatic latent images, including a binder resin, and a colorant, wherein the binder resin includes an amorphous resin obtained from a radical polymerizable monomer unit containing a styrene type monomer and a (meth)acrylic ester type monomer and a crystalline resin, and a ratio (Q2/Q1) is 0.85 or more, where Q1 represents an amount of absorbed heat based on an endothermic peak derived from the crystalline resin in a first temperature rising process from 0° C. to 200° C. in measurement with a differential scanning calorimeter, and Q2 represents an amount of absorbed heat based on an endothermic peak derived from the crystalline resin in a second temperature rising process from 0° C. to 200° C.

According to a drive control method and apparatus, an offset printing section and an intaglio printing section are connected together by a gear train. Separately from an offset printing section prime motor for driving an entire sheet-fed printing press, an intaglio printing section auxiliary motor is provided in the intaglio printing section where load is heaviest and load variations are great. By so doing, the entire sheet-fed printing press is driven by the offset printing section prime motor and the intaglio printing section auxiliary motor. Moreover, the electric current value (driving torque value) of the intaglio printing section auxiliary motor is controlled in accordance with an electric current value (torque value) for driving the offset printing section prime motor, the torque distribution rate of the intaglio printing section auxiliary motor, and the rated electric current value of the intaglio printing section auxiliary motor.
