Abstract:
A hybrid printing machine is described having both silk screening stations and a direct-to-garment digital printing station with a raster image processor to control a portion of a printing process.
Abstract:
A device for imprinting cans comprises a plurality of ink cartridges that supply ink to a plurality of printing plates; the printing plates communicate with transfer blankets fixed to a drum, the transfer blankets move ink from the printing plates and apply it to cans; each transfer blanket includes a different art in low relief which produces an image on cans in addition to the image produced by printing plates; the device is preferably a rotary dry offset printer.
Abstract:
The invention provides for the use of pharmaceutical compositions comprising a thiazolide in the stimulation of the immune system in a subject in need thereof, thereby preventing and/or treating viral diseases, cancer and diseases caused by intracellular protozoan infections
Abstract:
A device 1 for imprinting cans 8 comprises a plurality of ink cartridges 2a-2f that supply ink to a plurality of printing plates 3a-3f; the printing plates 2a-2f communicate with transfer blankets 5a-5l fixed to drum 6, the transfer blankets 5a-5l move ink from the printing plates 2a-2f and apply it to cans 8; each transfer blanket 2a-2f includes a different art in low relief (FIG. 15) which produces an image on cans 8 in addition to the image produced by printing plates 2a-2f; the device 1 is preferably a rotary dry offset printer. A method of printing cans comprising forming a relief image in a transfer blanket with a laser is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a printed product comprises provision (210) of a matrix comprising a matrix surface having a plurality of recesses. A first curable compound is applied (212) to the matrix surface to fill the recesses with the compound. The matrix surface and the filled recesses are covered (220) by a pickup layer of a second curable compound. The matrix is brought (230) in contact with the substrate surface and the first curable compound and the second curable compound are cured (232). The matrix surface is separated (234) from the substrate surface, leaving the pickup layer and the first curable compound on the substrate surface. The pickup layer and the first curable compound are thus transferred (240) together from the matrix surface onto a substrate surface of a substrate sheet. The first curable compound forms printed product micro features at the pickup layer covering the substrate surface.
Abstract:
The printing machine for variable format offset includes a printing roller or drum, and at least one printing group including a guide system fixed in relation with the printing roller or drum, a first carriage displaceable along the guide system and configured for supporting a rubber-wrapped blanket roller or sleeve of variable size, a second carriage displaceable along the guide system and configured for supporting a plate roller or sleeve of variable size, and a third carriage displaceable along the guide system carrying an offset inking head. The head has devices for approximating the third carriage to the plate roller, identifying and fixing its working position in relation with the plate sleeve and fitting ink-supplying roller or rollers to the plate roller.
Abstract:
A printing unit of compact construction includes an impression cylinder and a printing form cylinder to be pivoted around the impression cylinder about a pivot axis running parallel to an axis of rotation of the impression cylinder. A spacing between the axes of rotation of the printing form cylinder and of the impression cylinder can be varied and the printing form cylinder and the impression cylinder can be set against each other, to form a press nip in which a substrate can be printed. A first drive for producing a rotational movement of the printing form cylinder is connected to the printing form cylinder through a drive train. At least one component of the drive train has a torque axis running through the impression cylinder. A printing press having at least one printing unit and a process for producing labels or self-adhesive labels in a printing press, are also provided.
Abstract:
A rotary screen printing press, which includes a rotary screen cylinder for coating ink on a sheet transported by transport means, and a plate or form replacing work space whose upper side is closed, with respect to which a transport direction of the sheet is restrained by other device and a liquid coating unit including the rotary screen cylinder, which is open in at least one of directions orthogonal to the transport direction of the sheet, and where an operator performs work of replacing a screen printing form, comprises a plate or form rest provided below the rotary screen cylinder and supported to be movable to a first position within the liquid coating unit and a second position within the form replacing work space.
Abstract:
A combined lithographic/flexographic printing process having a plurality of successive printing stations for printing color images on a substrate in a continuous in-line process. One of the stations prints a first color image using the flexographic process and at least one of the successive printing stations prints a second color image over the first color image using an offset lithographic process in the continuous in-line process.
