    Abstract: A correlation magnitude signal is divided into a plurality of samples at a sequence of intervals over a symbol time, where the correlation signal corresponds to a magnitude of a correlation of a signal received at a receiver device with a known sequence. A sample with a highest magnitude value for the symbol time is selected from the plurality of samples. A symbol-synchronization signal that corresponds to an interval of the sequence of intervals containing the sample with the highest magnitude value is provided to a rake receiver system.

    Abstract: A first communication device in a wireless local area network (WLAN) determines one or more frequency division, full duplex (FDFD) parameters for an FDFD operation that includes FDFD communications via a first frequency segment and a second frequency segment. The first frequency segment and the second frequency segment are separated by a gap in frequency. The one or more FDFD parameters include a parameter indicating a duration of the FDFD operation. The first communication device generates a communication frame that includes one or more indications of the one or more FDFD parameters. The one or more indications in the communication frame include an indication of the duration of the FDFD operation. The first communication device transmits the communication frame to prompt a plurality of second communication devices to participate in the FDFD operation.

    Abstract: A method for operation of a first communication device in a wireless local area network (WLAN) communication channel between the first communication device and one or more second communication devices is described for a WLAN communication channel that has a plurality of component channels. A first component channel of the plurality of component channels is designated as a first primary channel and a second component channel of the plurality of component channels is designated as a second primary channel by the first communication device. A backoff timer that corresponds to the second component channel is suspended by the first communication device while utilizing the first component channel and without utilizing the second component channel.     Abstract: A method for accessing a shared medium includes receiving, at a first device associated with a first basic service set (BSS), a packet from a second device associated with a second BSS. The packet includes an indication of a duration for which the shared medium is expected to be busy. The method includes setting, at the first device, a first counter for an inter-BSS channel access to the duration in response to the second BSS being different than the first BSS and in response to the duration being greater than a current value of the first counter. The method includes setting, at the first device, a second counter for an intra-BSS channel access to the duration in response to the second BSS being the same as the first BSS and irrespective of whether the duration indicated in the packet is greater than a current value of the second counter.

    Abstract: The present disclosure includes systems and techniques relating to controlling access to a shared communication medium in a wireless communication system. In some implementations, a first communication device associated with a first basic service set (BSS) identified by a first BSS indicator receives a data unit transmitted by a second communication device. The data unit includes (i) a second BSS indicator indicating a second BSS associated with the second communication device and (ii) a duration indicator indicating a duration of time for which the shared communication medium is expected to be busy. An inter-BSS channel access counter is set based on the duration of time indicated by the duration indicator if the second BSS is different from the first BSS. An intra-BSS channel access counter is set based on the duration of time indicated by the duration indicator if the second BSS is the same as the first BSS.
