A bellows actuates the valve body through a first rod in accordance with an operating pressure introduced to a pressure sensing chamber. A solenoid biases the valve body through a second rod with a force based on the level or an electric current supplied to the solenoid. The cross-sectional area of the second rod is no smaller than the cross-sectional area of a valve hole of the control valve.

    摘要: A sealing structure for the shaft of a compressor. The sealing apparatus includes an inner ring, and outer ring, and a support ring. The inner ring and the outer rings have flexible annular lips that contact the surface of the rotary shaft. The support ring supports the inner lip and determines the position of the inner lip. The first lip permits fluid leakage along the surface of the shaft, while the second lip forms a fluid-tight seal with the shaft. The support ring prevents the internal pressure of the compressor from pressing the first lip against the shaft with excessive force, which extends the life of the sealing apparatus.

    摘要: A electromagnetic control valve which is capable of controlling with small electromagnetic force is provided. In such electromagnetic control valve, a pressure-sensitivity control mechanism is provided in a space leading to the suction side of the compressor such that the pressure-sensitivity control mechanism faces to the crankcase pressure introducing opening of the valve main body. This pressure-sensitivity control mechanism is formed by a piston which comes into contact with the bottom surface of the valve rod. The differential pressure between the crankcase pressure and the suction pressure of the compressor is detected by the piston. Upon receipt of detection signals from a temperature sensor and a pressure sensor and an external signal, the pressure-sensitivity control mechanism adjusts the flow of refrigerant from the discharge side (high-pressure side) to the crankcase side of the compressor. Thus, the differential pressure can be controlled.

The compressor adjusts the discharge displacement based on control of the inclination of a swash plate located in a crank chamber. The compressor includes a supply passage for connecting a discharge chamber with the crank chamber to supply the gas from the discharge chamber to the crank chamber and a bleeding passage for connecting the crank chamber with a suction chamber to release the gas from the crank chamber to the suction chamber. The control valve includes a first valve mechanism for selectively opening and closing the supply passage, a second valve mechanism for adjusting the flow rate of the gas released from the crank chamber to the suction chamber through the bleeding passage, and a solenoid mechanism for actuating the first valve mechanism and the second valve mechanism. The first valve mechanism and the second valve mechanism operate independently. The first valve mechanism, the second valve mechanism and the solenoid mechanism are retained in a single housing.

The compressor has a plurality of pistons reciprocable in a housing for compressing refrigerant gas. A drive shaft is rotatably supported by the housing. A swash plate is supported on the drive shaft for integral rotation with inclining motion with respect to the drive shaft to drive the pistons. The swash plate is movable between a maximum inclined angle and a minimum inclined angle. A disconnecting member disconnects the refrigerant circuit from the refrigerant gas passage when the swash plate is at the minimum inclined angle. A bleed hole bleeds the refrigerant gas from the refrigerant gas passage to the refrigerant circuit to suppress rapid increase of the inclined angle when the disconnecting member operates.

    摘要: A compressor has a swash plate located in a crank chamber and tiltably mounted on a drive shaft. A piston is operably coupled to the swash plate and is located in a cylinder bore. The inclination of the swash plate is varied according to the difference between the pressure in the crank chamber and the pressure in the cylinder bore. The compressor has a supply passage for connecting a discharge chamber with the crank chamber. A control valve is located in the supply passage for adjusting the amount of the gas introduced into the crank chamber from the discharge chamber through the supply passage. The control valve includes a valve body and a solenoid selectively excited and de-excited based on a supply of electric current from a driver to actuate the valve body. The solenoid generates a counter-electromotive force based on the self-inductance of the solenoid when the solenoid is de-excited. A protector, such as a diode, is connected in parallel with the solenoid. The protector passes the current based on the counter-electromotive force therethrough to prevent the current based on the counter-electromotive force from being supplied to the driver.
