Abstract: A torsion spring positioning device of a cylindrical lock includes a spindle outer casing through which a spindle extends and the spindle outer casing has two protrusions extending radially inward from an inner periphery thereof. The spindle has two slots defined in a periphery thereof and two stops extending radially outward from the periphery thereof so that two legs of the torsion spring respectively abut an end of the corresponding stop and an end of the corresponding protrusion. A washer is mounted to the spindle and has two notches defined in an outer periphery thereof so as to respectively receive the protrusions. A C-shaped clamping member is mounted to the spindle and has two stubs extending radially inward from an inner periphery thereof so as to be received in the slots.

The large section is formed in an end of the engaging member that is detachably received in a shank of an outer handle. An interchangeable lock core is removably received in the large section. The lock core has an outline corresponding to the large section of the engaging member. The lock core can be removed and replaced with a new one. Abstract: A lock includes a handle, a hub, a spindle rotatably mounted in the hub and coupled to the handle to turn therewith, and a transmission member fixed to the handle to turn therewith. The transmission member is mounted around and not rotatably engaged with the spindle. The transmission member is stopped by the hub after the handle has been turned through an angle, transmitting a torque from the handle to the hub via the transmission member. Thus, impact from the handle can be partly transmitted to the hub and then to a door on which the lock is mounted, instead of completely transmitted to the spindle. Damage to the spindle is, thus, avoided.

Abstract: An outside transmission assembly of a lock includes an outside spindle, an outside hub for rotatably receiving the outside spindle, a cam received in the outside spindle, a sleeve received in the cam, and a lug. The cam has an ear releasably engaged with a retractor. The lug has an arm and a ring formed on an end of the arm and mounted to the first end of the sleeve.
