Abstract: A lock includes a body, a wheel, an outside spindle, and a locking plug. The outside spindle includes a front end having an extension not in contact with a circumferential wall defining a through-hole of the wheel. When the locking plug is in an unblocking position allowing retraction operation of a latch bolt, the front end of the outside spindle is engaged with the wheel to allow joint rotation of the outside spindle and the wheel. When the locking plug is moved from the unblocking position to the blocking position not allowing retraction operation of the latch bolt, movement of a push member pushes the front end of the outside spindle away from the through-hole of the wheel such that the front end of the outside spindle is disengaged from the circumferential wall of the through-hole of the wheel, thereby disengaging the outside spindle from the wheel.

Abstract: An escutcheon assembly for a lock includes a mounting plate and a cover plate. The mounting plate is mounted to a front face of a door. The mounting plate comprises a receiving section for receiving a lock body of a lock cylinder. The cover plate is securely mounted around the mounting plate. The cover plate comprises a figure-8-shaped through-hole aligned with a figure-8-shaped cross section of an interchangeable lock core removably mounted in the lock body. The mounting plate and the cover plate can be made by inexpensive punching. Replacement of the cover plate, when desired, can be easily achieved at a low cost.

Abstract: A mortise lock includes a chassis, a handle assembly mounted to a side of the chassis, a sleeve, and a trim for returning the handle assembly. The handle assembly includes a spindle and a handle. An end of the sleeve is securely mounted around an end of the spindle to turn therewith. The other end of the sleeve receives the other end of the spindle and is securely connected to the handle. The trim includes a spring seat, a ring received in the spring seat and mounted around the sleeve, and a spring mounted on a side of the ring. The spring seat includes a plate mounted around the sleeve. A protrusion is formed on an inner periphery of the body and engaged in a longitudinal groove in the sleeve. Two ends of the spring respectively abut against two sides of a leg extending from the ring.

Abstract: A lock includes a main body having an outside seat and an inside seat around which an inside rose liner is mounted. A peripheral wall delimiting a central hole of the inside rose liner includes at least one pair of notches. A reinforcing ring is mounted round the inside seat and inside the inside rose liner. The reinforcing ring includes two tabs each having a distal end received in a respective groove of the inside seat, preventing relative rotation between the reinforcing ring and the main body. Two positioning posts extend from an outside rose liner mounted around the outside seat. Two fasteners extend through the reinforcing ring and the inside rose liner into screw holes of the positioning posts, thereby securing the reinforcing ring, the inside rose liner, and the outside rose liner together. The torque-resisting capacity is thus improved.

Abstract: A lock includes an outside spindle, an outside hub for rotatably receiving the outside spindle, a cam received in the outside spindle, and a sleeve received in the cam and slidable along a longitudinal direction of the outside spindle. A lug is formed on an end of the cam and operably connected to the retractor. The sleeve includes a longitudinal slot having an enlarged section. A peg is mounted in the cam and received in the longitudinal slot of the sleeve. The sleeve is engaged with the outside spindle to turn therewith. Abstract: A lock includes an inner handle having a locking bar received therein and an outer handle connected to a spindle with a retaining base received therein which has two first grooves defined therein. A cam is connected to the retaining base and has two second grooves which communicate with the first grooves so that a locking piece is movably received between the retaining base and the cam with a spring biased between the locking piece and the retaining base. The locking piece has two flanges movably received in the first grooves and the second grooves. A slide is movably received in the cam and contact the locking piece at one end thereof and the locking bar at the other end thereof so that the two flanges of the locking piece are disengaged from the second grooves when the locking bar is pushed.
