摘要： Hard imaging devices, humidity control systems and hard imaging methods are described. According to one arrangement, a hard imaging device includes an imaging member comprising a surface and a writing assembly configured to form latent images upon the surface of the imaging member. The hard imaging device also includes a development assembly configured to provide a marking agent to the surface of the imaging member to develop the latent images to form developed images, a transfer assembly configured to transfer the developed images from the surface of the imaging member to media to form a plurality of hard images, and a humidity control system configured to control humidity within a region of the hard imaging device which is adjacent to the surface of the imaging member during the forming and the development of the latent images. Other structure and methods are described.

摘要： An inkjet printing apparatus includes a media transport unit to transport a print media along a print media transport path, at least one printhead assembly including an inkjet printhead having a plurality of nozzles to print on a select portion of the print media, the inkjet printhead forming a print region adjacent to the nozzles in an area between the printhead assembly and a print portion of the print media transport path, and at least one of an electrostatic discharge unit to neutralize a resulting electrical charge on at least the select portion of the print media before the at least select portion of the print media enters the print region and a neutralization unit to neutralize an electric field in the print region.

摘要： A digital image is reproduced by printing a set of test patterns with a print engine that produces banding artifacts; generating a parametric artifact model of the banding artifacts in the prints of the test patterns; modifying the digital image with the parametric artifact model; and using the print engine to make prints of the modified digital image. The modifications cause a reduction in visibility of banding artifacts in the prints of the modified digital image.
