摘要: First, shading charts are printed on a surface of a recording medium. Then, a plurality of captured images is acquired for a region of the same density of the shading charts printed on the recording medium. At this time, the amounts of displacement in the position of the recording medium in the main scanning direction, which is the direction of arrangement of nozzles, are also detected. Then, one super-resolution image with a higher resolution than the captured images is generated on the basis of the captured images and the amounts of displacement in the position of the recording medium in the main scanning direction. Thereafter, a variable-density correction amount is calculated for each of the nozzles on the basis of the generated super-resolution image.

摘要: A method for processing print data includes a matching processing step of performing pattern matching between a streak detection pattern including a streak pattern having a width of one pixel and print data after a RIP process, a length measurement step of determining, when matching is established in the matching processing step, a length of a streak candidate part including a part corresponding to the streak pattern in a region where matching is established and a part continuous in an extending direction of the streak pattern and having a same value as a data value of the streak pattern, in the print data, and a determination step of determining whether or not the streak candidate part is white streak data that possibly results in a streak, by comparing the length determined in the length measurement step against a predetermined threshold.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a security document, including: providing a polymer substrate having first and second surfaces; and: applying an array of focussing elements to the first surface of the polymer substrate across a first region; forming an image array by: providing a die form having a surface including an arrangement of raised areas and recessed areas defining the pattern; applying a first curable material to the surface of the die form so it substantially fills the recessed areas; bringing a pattern support layer in contact with the surface of the die form so it covers the recessed areas; separating the pattern support layer from the surface of the die form so the first curable material in the recessed areas is removed from the recessed areas and retained on the pattern support layer; and at least partly curing the first curable material in one or more curing steps.

摘要: An image inspection apparatus includes: a storage that stores output image data used in forming an image on a paper sheet; a conveyor that conveys the paper sheet; a reader that reads the image during conveyance, and generates read image data; a determiner that compares pixels in the read image data with corresponding pixels in the output image data, and determines whether the read image data matches the output image data; a circulator that circulates the paper sheet, and returns the paper sheet to the reader; and a controller that controls the circulator to circulate the paper sheet and return the paper sheet to the reader when a mismatch is detected by the determiner, wherein the reader generates circulated read image data when the paper sheet is circulated and conveyed, and the determiner determines whether the image is normal or abnormal depending on the result of comparison.

摘要: The systems and methods described herein include an approach to performing quality assessment for 3-D printed objects during the printing process, for collecting data regarding 3-D printed objects, and for capturing data to make a digital model of an object. This approach uses sensor data (e.g., digital imagery) to characterize printing progress or to detect 3-D printing defects that would otherwise result in printing incomplete objects, such as premature printing job termination, dry printing, over/under application, movement of the filament, and other defects. Sensor data capturing can also be used as part of a destructive scanning process to perform post-printing object assessment or to collect data on a real-world object to facilitate creation of a digital model. These systems and methods may leverage the discrete nature of a pixel provided through digital imagery to be assessed with limited computational resources in a non-recursive manner.

摘要: A digital image inspection method checks printing material processing machine products by recording digital printed partial images using recording devices and combining partial images in an image processing computer forming a digital overall image causing abutment edges at an overlap. The computer inspects the digital overall image and transmits a result to a machine control computer. The computer creates a new image, only containing detected edges, using edge detection methods after combining partial images forming a digital overall image. The computer uses known positions of abutment edges of recording devices to create a further new image only containing regions with abutment edges of recording devices. The computer overlays the new images, providing a resultant image containing only edges along abutment edges of recording devices. The computer applies the resultant image to the digital overall image, defining masking zones in the resultant digital overall image not being checked by image inspection.

摘要: Systems and methods for providing remote approval of an image for printing are provided. One system includes a processing circuit in communication with an image capturing device that is configured to capture an image of a printed product. The processing circuit is configured to process the captured image into a processed image accurate to within a tolerance in a color space to indicate the visual appearance of one or more colors. The color space is a standardized color space, such as sRGB or CIELAB. The processing circuit is further configured to transmit the processed image to a display located remote from the image capturing device and to receive an input signal from a remote input device to allow a user to approve or reject the displayed processed image for printing on a print device.
