    摘要： A fail-safe pneumatically operated by-pass sampling valve suitable for usen hazardous chemical processes utilizes a manually operated spool valve to initiate a pneumatically operated piston driven crank to rotate a sampling valve. The sampling valve withdraws a sample amount of fluid from a process line without disturbing normal process flow. A pneumatically connected spindle valve and a plurality of limiting valves are proximately positioned and operatively connected to the piston to automatically move the piston actuating member from a normally closed non-sampling position to a sampling position and then back to a normally closed non-sampling position.

    摘要： A method and system for multi-modal fusion of physical and virtual information channels include a virtual information channel and physical information channel and also provide for tracking virtual events and physical events corresponding to the virtual event and altering delivery of virtual space content via the virtual information channel upon determining the tracked at least one virtual event meets predetermined criteria. These also provide for dynamic adaptability of content and corresponding channels via information sprite clusters presented to a user as well as providing a virtual display and populating each of a plurality of sprites with information content correlated to the user; and presenting on the virtual display at least one information sprite cluster containing a plurality of information sprites. The cluster is presented and rotated on the virtual display to improve user accessibility of the plurality of sprites according to derived, and or detected, user personalization factors.

    摘要： In a data processing system of the type including a plurality of processing elements interconnected with each other and with a plurality of memory elements by an interconnection means, a method is provided for accommodating the accessing of a selected memory location in a selected one of the memory elements by at least one requesting processing element to read data stored thereat. The method thereby permits the communication of information between the plurality of processing elements. The method comprising the steps of: sending, from the requesting processing element to the selected memory element via the interconnecting means, a directive including (1) the address of the selected memory location, (2) a comparison value, and (3) an identification of the requesting processing element sending the directive; reading in the selected memory element the data stored at the selected memory location; comparing in the memory element the read data with the comparison value; notifying the requesting processing element via the interconnection means if the read data matches the comparison value; storing the directive in the selected memory element if the read data does not match the comparison value; and repeating the reading, comparing, and notifying steps each time the data in the selected memory location is altered.
