Abstract:
The present invention relates to a non-compacted cosmetic composition for caring for and/or making up keratin fibres, comprising, in a physiologically acceptable medium, at least 22% by weight of water relative to the total weight of the composition and at least one fatty phase comprising at least one dispersion of micronized wax particles, the said particles being present in a content of between 5% and 50% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition.
Abstract:
Compositions comprising at least one ester which comprises at least one aromatic group, which is liquid at room temperature and which is derived from esterification with (i) at least one aromatic acid of (ii) at least one hydroxyl group of at least one hydroxylated aliphatic compound chosen from hydroxylated aliphatic acids and esters of hydroxylated aliphatic acids, wherein said at least one hydroxyl group is chosen from pendant hydroxyl groups and terminal hydroxyl groups. The inventive compositions may be used for, for example, making up the face, body or superficial body growths of human beings and may constitute, for example, a lipstick, a lip gloss, a tattooing product, an eye shadow, a mascara, a product for caring for the hair or a nail varnish.
Abstract:
A cosmetic care or makeup composition for keratin materials comprising, in a physiologically acceptable medium, at least one photoprotective agent capable of screening out UV radiation and at least one ester comprising an aromatic group, which is liquid at room temperature, resulting from the esterification of an aromatic acid with at least one hydroxyl group chosen from pendent hydroxyl group and terminal hydroxyl groups of hydroxylated aliphatic compounds said hydroxylated aliphatic compounds being chosen from hydroxylated aliphatic acids and esters thereof. Use of the said ester comprising an aromatic group to improve the photoprotective power of compositions intended for protecting the skin and/or the lips and/or integuments against UV radiation.
Abstract:
This application concerns the use of the combination of a volatile oil and a phenylated silicone oil in a composition containing a fatty phase. The invention also relates to a composition containing, in a fatty phase, a volatile oil, a phenylated silicone oil, and less than 20% by weight of a non-volatile hydrocarbonic oil.
Abstract:
A composition for removing make-up from keratinous material comprised of a polysaccharide alkyl ether formed of units containing at least two different saccharide rings, each unit containing at least one hydroxyl group substituted with a saturated hydrocarbon-based alkyl chain combined with a make-up-removing system comprising at least one non-aqueous solvent and/or an oil and/or a surfactant. The polysaccharide alkyl ether preferably has a molecular weight of greater than 200,000 and is in particular a guar gum alkyl ether having a degree of substitution of about 2 to 3, in particular 2.5.
Abstract:
A lip care composition, in particular an anhydrous composition, containing, as physiologically acceptable active care agent, acexamic acid, preferably dissolved or dispersed in a fatty phase. This composition can be in the form of a stick, in particular a stick of lipstick or of lip balm, to protect the lips in particular against bad weather and thus to prevent them from drying out and/or from cracking and chapping.
Abstract:
A monohydric alcohol-free composition for topical use on human lips and skin. The composition includes a commercialy acceptable carrier and solubilized ethylcellulose. The ethylcellulose is substantially solubilized in at least one solvent which may be a natural oil, a triglyceride, a propylene glycol ester, a neopentyl glycol ester, a fatty alcohol or mixtures thereof.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a W/O type emulsions comprising an aqueous phase emulsified by means of a silicone surfactant, in a continuous phase containing at least one fluorohydrocarbon. It also relates to the use of certain silicone surfactants for the preparation of such emulsions. Said emulsions have utility in cosmetics and dermatology.
Abstract:
A silicone oil-based anhydrous cosmetic or dermatological anhydrous composition having a homogeneous fatty phase wherein said fatty phase contains a silicone oil having the formula ##STR1## wherein R represents alkyl having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, aryl or aralkyl,n represents a whole number between 0 and 100, andm represents a whole number between 0 and 100, provided that the sum of n + m is between 1 and 100; and(ii) a wax in an amount ranging from 3 to 50 percent by weight based on the total weight of said fatty phase having a melting point between 50.degree. and 135.degree. C., comprising at least polymer having a molecular weight between 200 and 1,500 and selected from ethylene homopolymers and copolymers, and a monomer having the formula:CH.sub.2 .dbd.CH--R' (II)whereinR' represents alkyl having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, aryl or aralkyl.
