Abstract: Aspects of sensor activation or deactivation for positioning a mobile device in a wireless communication network are disclosed. These aspects include, during a positioning session between the mobile device and a location server, determining with the location server that a first trigger condition or a second trigger condition has been met regarding reporting, by the mobile device to the location server, of sensor data from one or more sensors of the mobile device, where: the first trigger condition may comprise a trigger condition for activating the reporting, and the second trigger condition may comprise a trigger condition for deactivating the reporting. Aspects further include sending, from the location server to the mobile device, a message may comprise either: instructions to activate the reporting responsive to determining the first trigger condition has been met, or instructions to deactivate the reporting responsive to determining the second trigger condition has been met.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support enhanced positioning operations using a repeater. In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication includes receiving, by the UE, an instruction from a base station (BS) to perform a first signal measurement at a first time and a second signal measurement at a second time; determining, by the UE and based on the instruction, a first signal characteristic of a first signal during the first time corresponding to a time when a first repeater is repeating the first signal from a base station; determining, by the UE and based on the instruction, a second signal characteristic of a second signal during the second time corresponding to a time when the first repeater is not repeating the second signal; and a location of the UE is determined based on the first signal characteristic and the second signal characteristic.

Abstract: A method for wireless communication by a user equipment includes receiving, from a network node, a first message configuring a group of inactivity timers including indicating a respective timer duration value for each inactivity timer of the group of inactivity timers. Each inactivity timer of the group of inactivity timers may be associated with a respective network power saving mode of a group of network power saving modes. The method also includes initiating a first inactivity timer of the group of inactivity timers with a respective timer duration value based on receiving a first downlink transmission from the network node or transmitting first uplink information to the network node. The method further includes enabling a radio resource control (RRC) state of a group of RRC states based on an expiration of the first inactivity timer.

Abstract: In an aspect, a position estimation entity (e.g., UE, gNB, LMF, etc.) identifies a pool of UEs for a SL-assisted position estimation procedure of a set of target UEs. SL SRS-Ps are communicated (e.g., transmitted and measured) between the pool of UEs (e.g., for relative SL ranging). UL SRS-Ps are communicated by at least some of the UEs in the pool of UEs. The position estimation entity obtains measurement data for both the SL SRS-P and UL-SRS-P communications. The position estimation entity determines a position estimate for each UE in the set of UEs based on the measurement information.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for predicting wireless measurements based on virtual access points is described. In some embodiments, a location of a user equipment (UE) may be obtained, and given the location of the UE, an output may be generated using a machine learning model, the output including one or more predicted wireless measurements. The output may be indicative of a wireless channel in a multipath environment. In some variants, the machine learning model may have been trained by obtaining a training dataset including multipath components data and ground truth locations of a wireless device, and performing an optimization with respect to the multipath components data and the ground truth locations. In some implementations, a training output including a predicted multipath component may be produced during the training, and the optimization may include an iterative minimization of an error between at least the predicted multipath component and a labeled multipath component.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support reference signal resource reporting. In a first aspect, a method includes receiving a first reference signal and a second reference signal of a reference signal session. The first aspect also includes transmitting, based on the first and second reference signals, information that indicates a measurement value or a location associated with an antenna array. In a second aspect, a method includes transmitting, using a first antenna element of an antenna array, a first sensing reference signal, and transmitting, using a second antenna element of the antenna array, a second sensing reference signal of the reference signal session. The second aspect also includes transmitting information that indicates a first location of the first antenna element, a second location of the second antenna element, or an equivalent location. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) and a network entity may communicate according to a discontinuous transmission (DTX) cycle that includes an active duration and an inactive duration. The network entity may indicate timing information for one or more random access response (RAR) windows associated with a random access channel (RACH) message that triggers a RAR message. A RAR window may be misaligned with the active duration of the DTX cycle based on the timing information. Based on the misalignment, the UE and the network entity may communicate a RAR message during the RAR window in accordance with an alignment rule to align at least one boundary of the RAR window with at least one boundary of the active duration. Alternatively, the UE and the network entity may refrain from communicating the RAR message during the RAR window based on the misalignment.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a message, from a network entity, indicating assistance information including a decoding order, decoder iteration instructions, or both, for a first set of repetitions of a data transmission. The UE may monitor for and receive the first set of repetitions from the network entity and decode the first set of repetitions based on the assistance information from the network entity. Based on decoding the first set of repetitions, the UE may transmit a feedback message to the network entity indicating whether the UE successfully decoded the first set of repetitions.
