Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to multi-transmission-reception point (multi-TRP) precoding matrix indication (PMI) operations are provided. A user equipment (UE) receives a configuration indicating a precoder size parameter for a plurality of transmission-reception points (TRPs). The UE receives, from a first TRP of the plurality of TRPs, a first reference signal. The UE receives, from a second TRP of the plurality of TRPs, a second reference signal, the second TRP being different from first TRP. The UE transmits, to the first TRP or the second TRP, a channel state information (CSI) report including a first feedback component based on the first reference signal and a second feedback component based on the second reference signal, where a combined payload size of the first feedback component and the second feedback component is based on the precoder size parameter.

Abstract: Aspects relate to reporting channel state information (CSI) for a plurality of multiple transmission and reception points (TRPs) in a communication system. Downlink (DL) channels received from multiple TRPs are measured and a plurality of transmission hypotheses based on the measured DL channels from the multiple TRPs. The CSI is transmitted to a network in the communication system and includes a precoding matrix indicator (PMI) having at least a spatial domain basis matrix that is common to all of the transmission hypotheses and at least one coefficient matrix that is based on the spatial domain basis matrix.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to support communication between a base station and a user equipment (UE) via multiple transmission reception points (TRPs). The base station may configure the UE to report a precoding matrix indicator (PMI) for various transmission modes, including one or more transmission modes for multiple TRPs. The UE may determine and report first PMI to the base station for each single TRP transmission mode, and the base station may use the first PMI to determine a precoding matrix for each TRP. The UE may determine and report partial PMI to the base station for the one or more multi-TRP transmission modes. The base station may use respective partial PMI to determine a precoding matrix for each multi-TRP transmission mode and may communicate with the UE using the determined precoding matrix or matrices.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for a first transmission from a first device to be received at a second device. The second device may determine one or more interference parameters (e.g., a maximum allowable interference power) for receiving the first transmission from the first device, and the second device may transmit an indication of the one or more interference parameters using a full-duplex operation (e.g., using resources overlapping with resources used to receive the first transmission). The third device may receive the indication of the one or more interference parameters and determine transmission parameters (e.g., a maximum transmit power) for communicating with a fourth device based on the one or more interference parameters. The third device may transmit a second transmission to the fourth device based on the transmission parameters.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for a user equipment (UE) operating in a full-duplex mode to report of channel state information based on an estimate of self-interference associated with concurrent uplink and downlink transmissions using at least partially overlapping frequency resources. A base station may transmit downlink reference signals to the UE for measurement and generation of the channel state information, and the base station may use the channel state information reported by the UE to schedule the simultaneous transmission and reception such that the self-interference from full-duplex mode operations is mitigated.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques related to wireless communication system to enable full duplex communication. A network node may include a transceiver, a memory, and a processor communicatively coupled to the transceiver and the memory. The transceiver, memory, and processor may be configured to determine downlink (DL) parent and child link priorities for parent and child time-domain resources that overlap in time at least partially. The transceiver, memory, and processor may also be configured to determine DL parent and child beams based on the DL parent and child link priorities. The transceiver, memory, and processor may further be configured to notify the parent node of the DL parent beam for the parent and child time-domain resources. The transceiver, memory, and processor may yet further be configured to concurrently receive parent traffic from the parent node using the DL parent beam and transmit child traffic to the child node using the DL child beam.

Abstract: The frequency domain basis may be fed back in a CSI report from a user equipment (UE), with extra overhead and computation cost. In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE configured to receive, from a base station, CSI reference signals (CSI-RS). The apparatus may be further configured to receive, from the base station, a configuration including a frequency domain basis restriction indicating a frequency domain basis subset, where the frequency domain basis subset is selected from a frequency domain basis set. The apparatus may be configured to prepare, upon receiving the frequency domain basis restriction, a CSI report based on the CSI-RS and the frequency domain basis subset. The apparatus may be further configured to transmit the CSI report to the base station.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A full duplex user equipment (UE) may provide a channel state information (CSI) report to abase station to enable the base station to schedule simultaneous uplink and downlink communications for the full duplex UE. For example, the base station may transmit a CSI report configuration to the UE that indicates for the UE to report a full duplex CSI. In some cases, the CSI report configuration may include the UE to report CSI under a full duplex mode with or without an indication of an uplink bandwidth. Accordingly, the UE may calculate and report the self-full duplex mode CSI to the base station according to the received configuration. The base station may then determine a radio resource allocation and transport format for downlink data transfer and for uplink data transfer under the full duplex mode.
