Abstract: Both precoded sounding reference signals (SRS) and unprecoded SRS are transmitted from a UE to an eNB. The UE may transmit both in the same subframe using either TDM or FDM. Or the UE may transmit each in different subframes from each other. The eNB uses some combination of the precoded SRS and the unprecoded SRS in scheduling resources for the UE. The eNB may also provide instruction to the UE for PUSCH precoding for data transmission. The eNB may signal the UE to use the same precoding as for the precoded SRS. The eNB may instead signal the UE to use different precoding by including the precoding information or delta information between the precoding used for the precoded SRS and the selected precoding for the PUSCH data.

Abstract: The apparatus may be a transmitter. The transmitter including a modulator configured to modulate a binary input sequence with a particular modulation coding scheme to generate a modulated input signal. The transmitter also including a spectral shaping circuit configured to spectral shape a first version of the input signal to generate a spectral shaped signal. The spectral shaping circuit also includes a FIR filter configured to lower peak-to-average power ratio of the spectral shaped signal. The transmitter also includes a discrete Fourier transform circuit configured to discrete Fourier transform a second version of the input signal to generate a discrete Fourier transformed signal. The modulated input signal is one of the first version of the input signal or the second version of the input signal and the spectral shaped signal is another of the first version of the input signal or the second version of the input signal.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes a method, an apparatus, and a computer readable medium for a multilayer transmission in a wireless network. For example, the method may include generating a group of binary data bits for resources of each layer of a plurality of layers, mapping the group of binary data bits of each layer of the plurality of layers to respective code words in a signal constellation, combining the code words, and transmitting the combined code word to receiver in the wireless network. As such, the multilayer transmission in a wireless network is achieved.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide systems, methods, and apparatuses for implementing the multiplexing of different orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) waveforms using a transmitter and receiver configured to process different types of signals without a need for distinct hardware structures. In one example, aspects of the present disclosure may include a transmitter configured to transmit both a first type of discrete fourier transform (DFT)-spread OFDM waveform and a second type of DFT-spread OFDM waveform that may be multiplexed over the wireless channel. In some aspects, the transmitter may modify the numerology of the zero-tail DFT-spread OFDM waveform to match the numerology of other OFDM waveforms (e.g., OFDM waveform with zero-guard or a single carrier DFT-spread OFDM with zero-guard).
