摘要： In an automatic diaphragm stop down operation square wave pulses are generated, the number of which represents the extent of diaphragm stop down. Short pulses are generated responsive to the leading and trailing edges of the square wave pulses. The short pulses are counted. After a predetermined number of short pulses are counted, diaphragm stop down is arrested. In one embodiment, when a periodic input signal representative of the extent of diaphragm stop down rises above a first threshold, the square wave pulses are produced at a first level and when the input signal drops below a second threshold lower than the threshold, the square wave pulses are produced at a second level.

摘要： A clothing simulation apparatus precisely determines clothing pressure for bringing a clothing into tight contact with a human body. A fitting part 22 divides a paper pattern model into a plurality of elements, imparts dynamic characteristics shown by a fabric model to each element, deforms the paper pattern model by solving the motion equation of each element using a finite element method, and then fits the clothing virtually to a human body model. The fitting part 22 sets a temporary model to cover a predetermined section of the human body model, deforms the paper pattern model to bring the paper pattern model into contact with the temporary model, and thereafter deforms the paper pattern model to bring the paper pattern model into contact with the human body model.

摘要： A thermal printer has with a cover member which swings away from the printer. A thermal line printhead is separated from a platen roller in response to the swinging of the cover member. A paper detector on the cover member swings away from the printer with the cover member. Accordingly, a single sensor detects when paper is loaded in the printer, when the cover is open, and when the thermal line printhead is separated from the platen roller, all of which result in the an interruption or prohibition of printing.

摘要： An electrophotographic printer using a plurality of types of continuous recording forms having different page lengths, respectively, with perforations being provided between pages of each of the continuous forms. The printer is operated at least in a standby state and in a printing state. The printer comprises feed means for feeding the continuous-form recording sheet loaded into the printer, and control means for controlling the feed means in such a fashion that the perforations is located at a predetermined position when the printer is in the standby state, regardless of the page length of the recording form loaded into the printer. The predetermined position coincides either with an image-transfer position or an image-fixing position.

摘要： An image organizing unit for use in a laser beam printer. The image organizing unit comprises a character generator which has a plurality of character patterns, each of which has a larger number of pattern elements a long the width direction than that corresponding to a resolving power of the printer. A main-scanning clock pulse frequency is also set to be higher than that corresponding to the resolving power of the printer. With the thus constructed image organizing unit, the printing quality can be improved, particularly for oblique lines of characters, with the resolving power of the printer remaining unchanged.

摘要： The present invention provides an intensity control device for a laser in a laser beam printer that produces a hard copy of image information by copy-processing a photosensitive surface scanned by the laser while it is in a scanning mode during which the laser is modulated by the image information. The intensity control device according to the present invention stores a first representation of a present light intensity of the laser during its non-scanning mode. It further stores a second representations of a user selected image density for a hard copy produced by the printer. The first and second representations are combined for forming a control voltage during a non-scanning mode of the laser. Finally, a current is produced that is supplied to the laser in response to the control voltage such that the intensity of light produced by the laser is dependent on both the first and second representations.
