    Abstract: An organic light-emitting display apparatus includes a plurality of first emission units, each including a first organic light-emitting device configured to emit light in at least a first direction and through a first display surface, a plurality of second emission units, each including a second organic light-emitting device configured to emit in a second direction opposite to the first direction and through a second display surface. The first emission units and the second emission units are alternately disposed. The apparatus further includes a transmissive area disposed adjacent to but not overlapping with the plurality of first emission units and the plurality of second emission units when viewed from a direction perpendicular to the first display surface, and capable of transmitting external light through the first and second display surfaces in the transmissive area.

    Abstract: A driving controller divides a display panel into first and second display areas according to an operation mode, outputs a start signal indicating a start of one frame and a masking signal for indicating a start of the second display area, sets a basic driving frequency to a normal frequency when the operation mode is a normal frequency mode, sets the basic driving frequency to a frequency lower than the normal frequency when the operation mode is a multi-frequency mode, and outputs the start signal and the masking signal. The first display area operates at a first driving frequency and the second display area operates at a second driving frequency, and the scan driving circuit sequentially drives scan lines in synchronization with the start signal, and stops, in response to the masking signal, driving of some of the scan lines corresponding to the second display area.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel, a gate driving block which outputs a scan signal to the display panel, a source driving block which outputs a data signal to the display panel, and a controller. In the low-frequency mode, the controller divides the display panel into a first area operated at a first frequency lower than the reference frequency and a second area operated at a second frequency lower than the first frequency according to the image data, the source driving block outputs the data signal to the first area at the first frequency and outputs the data signal to the second area at the second frequency, and the gate driving block outputs a first scan signal to the first area at the first frequency and outputs a second scan signal to the second area at the second frequency.
