Abstract: A photoluminescence device for an image generating device includes a color conversion pattern, a color filter, and a low index of refraction layer. The color conversion pattern has a first refractive index and is configured to convert light transmitted from the image generating device from one wavelength to another. The color filter is configured to selectively pass light of a given range of wavelengths transmitted through the color conversion pattern. The low index of refraction layer has a second refractive index and is disposed between the color conversion pattern and the color filter.
