Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for channel and interference measurement in a wireless communication system. A method for operating a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a reporting setting and receiving a resource setting associated with the reporting setting. The reporting setting is configured with a higher layer parameter reportQuantity that is set to at least cri-SINR. The resource setting is configured with a higher layer parameter resourceType that is set to aperiodic, periodic, or semi-persistent. The method further includes receiving a first set of reference signals (RSs) through a first set of RS resources; receiving a second set of RSs through a second set of RS resources; measuring at least one RS in the first or second sets of RSs; and determining, based on the reporting setting and the measured at least one RS, one or more layer-1 signal-to-noise and interference ratios (L1-SINRs).

Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for transmission modes configuration in a wireless communication system. A method for operating a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a configuration for one or more of a plurality of physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resources that are associated with one or more of a plurality of entity identities (IDs), respectively, and receiving information for associating the one or more PUCCH resources with the one or more entity IDs, respectively. The method further includes determining, based on the configuration and the information, a PUCCH resource for a target entity ID, from the plurality of entity IDs and transmitting the PUCCH resource for the target entity ID. The target entity ID corresponds to at least one of: a physical cell ID (PCI), a CORESETPoolIndex value, a PCI index pointing to a PCI, a reference signal (RS) resource ID, a RS resource set ID, and a RS resource setting ID.

A method for operating a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a configuration for reporting in a channel state information (CSI) report a channel offset for a target entity; measuring one or more measurement reference signals (RSs) for determining the channel offset; determining, based on the measured one or more measurement RSs, the channel offset for the target entity; and transmitting, at least based on the configuration, the CSI report including a channel offset report associated with the determined channel offset. The measurement RSs comprise channel state information reference signals (CSI-RSs), synchronization signal blocks (SSBs), or both CSI-RSs and SSBs.

The method further includes detecting the first or second beam failure; identifying a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource for transmission of a recovery request for the detected first or second beam failure; and transmitting a first signal to request recovery of the first or second beam failure using the PUCCH resource.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for interference cancellation which includes: calculating a mean value and a variance value of a received signal to obtain statistics information of the received signal; calculating an estimating log-likelihood ratio using the statistics information of the received signal; calculating a decoding log-likelihood ratios of the received signal using the estimating log-likelihood ratio of the received signal, and performing calculations to update the statistics information of the received signal; repeating the above steps for a pre-determined number of times, performing hard decisions on the decoding log-likelihood ratios of the received signal, and outputting data bits obtained from the hard decision. The present disclosure also provides an apparatus, an auxiliary method, a base station and a terminal device for interference cancellation. The mechanism of the present disclosure can reduce the impact of inherent interference in the FBMC/OQAM system on system performances, and increase spectral efficiency and design flexibility of the FBMC/OQAM system.
