    Abstract: A method of managing multiple transmission and reception point (M-TRP) communications includes receiving, by a user equipment (UE), a plurality of PDSCH communications, wherein: a first subset of the plurality of PDSCH communications is associated with a first TRP, and a second subset of the plurality of PDSCH communications is associated with a second TRP different from the first TRP. The method further includes selecting a first set of one or more PDSCH communications to decode by applying a first management process for the first subset of PDSCH communications; selecting a second set of one or more PDSCH communications to decode by applying a second management process for the second subset of PDSCH communications; and decoding the first set of one or more PDSCH communications to decode and the second set of one or more PDSCH communications to decode.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for counting a number of uplink and/or downlink channels per slot for a UE capability in order to determine a maximum number of channels a UE is capable of processing per slot. A UE counts all PDSCHs or PUSCHs that the UE is scheduled or configured to receive or transmit, respectively, except for exception 1: when the UE receives a PDCCH, which ends in a symbol i, scheduling a DG-PUSCH that overlaps in time with a CG PUSCH starting in a symbol j on a same serving cell, wherein a beginning of the symbol j is at least N_2 symbols after an end of the symbol i, the CG PUSCH is not counted, exception 2: when the UE receives a PDCCH, which ends in a symbol i, scheduling a PUSCH on a serving cell for an HPN, and the UE is allowed to transmit a CG PUSCH with the same HPN starting in a symbol j, wherein a beginning of the symbol j is at least N_2 symbols after an end of the symbol i, the CG PUSCH is not counted, or exception 3: when the UE receives a PDCCH, which ends in a symbol i, scheduling a PDSCH with a C-RNTI or an MCS-C-RNTI overlapping in time with an SPS PDSCH starting in a symbol j in a same serving cell, wherein a beginning of the symbol j is at least N_2 symbols after an end of the symbol i, the SPS PDSCH is not counted, and generates UE capability information based on the counted number of the PDSCH or PUSCH per slot.

    Abstract: A method and a user equipment (UE) are provided for monitoring physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidates by a UE. A reference control resource set (CORESET) having a plurality of transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states is identified. The PDCCH candidates in the reference CORESET and in one or more CORESETs that overlap the reference CORESET in a time domain, are monitored. Each of the one or more CORESETs has a set of one or more TCI states that is either identical to, or a subset of, the plurality of TCI states of the reference CORESET. The monitored PDCCH candidates are received in accordance with a single frequency network (SFN) transmission scheme.

    Abstract: A method and a user equipment (UE) are provided for explicitly linking repeated physical downlink control channels (PDCCHs). The UE receives the repeated PDCCHs from a network. Each of the repeated PDCCHs include downlink control information (DCI) that schedules reception of a same physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) at the UE. The UE links the repeated PDCCHs having common PDCCH candidate numbers across search space (SS) sets of a control resource set (CORESET). The repeated PDCCHs are received in accordance with the UE and the network communicating using a multi-transmission and reception point (TRP) repetition scheme or a multi-TRP multi-chance scheme.

    Abstract: A method may include multiplexing control information on a physical channel in a communication system, wherein the control information comprises a repeat request acknowledgment portion, and allocating an amount of resources of the physical channel for the repeat request acknowledgment portion based on an amount of a type of acknowledgment included in the acknowledgment portion. The type of acknowledgment may include an acknowledgment for dynamically granted traffic. The amount of resources may include a reserved amount of resources based on the amount of acknowledgment for dynamically granted traffic being less than a threshold. A method may include multiplexing control information on a physical channel in a communication system, wherein the control information may include a repeat request acknowledgment portion, and allocating an amount of resources of the physical channel for the repeat request acknowledgment portion based on a threshold, wherein the threshold is variable.

    Abstract: A system and method for setting blind detection and control channel element monitoring limits in a carrier aggregation scheme. In some embodiments, the method includes: receiving, by a network from a first user equipment (UE), a declaration of capabilities of the first UE; sending, by the network, to the first UE, a first search space (SS) configuration for a first component carrier in a carrier aggregation (CA) scheme; and sending, by the network, to the first UE, a second search space configuration for a second component carrier in the carrier aggregation scheme. The first search space configuration may define a first set of monitoring occasions, the second search space configuration may define a second set of monitoring occasions (MOs), and an aligned span pattern, corresponding to the first set of monitoring occasions and the second set of monitoring occasions, may comply with the declaration of capabilities of the first UE.
