    Abstract: One embodiment provides a method comprising determining a spatial relationship between an augmented reality (AR) device and a camera-equipped device. The AR device is worn by a user. The camera-equipped device is positioned within proximity of the user. The method comprises determining, based on the spatial relationship, minimum and maximum boundaries of a user volume encompassing a head and one or more extremities of the user. The minimum and maximum boundaries represent a reduced depth range that is narrower than a full depth range of a camera frustum of the camera-equipped device. The method further comprises encoding, based on the minimum and maximum boundaries, a depth image frame captured via the camera-equipped device, and transmitting the encoded depth image frame over a remote network connection. A reconstructed 3D image based in part on the encoded depth image frame is rendered by a different AR device.

    Abstract: In a method and device to align phases of a first clock signal and a second clock signal, include a phase detector, a delay generator, and a controller. The phase detector is configured to generate a preceding signal and a succeeding signal with respect to the first clock signal to detect a relationship between phases of the first clock signal and the second clock signal. The delay generator is configured to delay the first clock signal when the second clock signal falls behind the succeeding signal with respect to the first clock signal. The controller is configured to determine whether the phases of the first clock signal and the second clock signal are aligned with each other according to the relationship detected by the phase detector.

    Abstract: A method and an apparatus process an audio signal. The method of processing an audio signal includes: separating the audio signal into a first harmonic signal and a first percussion signal; adjusting gains of the first harmonic signal and the first percussion signal to generate a second harmonic signal and a second percussion signal; and adding the second harmonic signal and the second percussion signal. The method can generally improve the apparatus for controlling a gain and adopt a reproducing volume level to a current environment by separating the audio signal into a harmonic signal and a percussion signal to adjust a gain. The audio signal can have a high output level without non-linear distortion.
