摘要: Provided is a method for forming an image containing the steps of: (a) forming an electrostatic latent image on an electrostatic latent image carrier; and (b) developing the electrostatic latent image by a two component developer comprising a toner and a carrier, wherein the two component developer is continually replenished in the developing step (b); and the toner includes: colored particles; and external additive particles comprising a complex oxide incorporating silicon atoms and at least one of titanium atoms and aluminum atoms, and a surface existing ratio of the silicon atoms (R2) in a surface of the external additive particles being larger than an average existing ratio of the silicon atoms (R1) in an entirety of the external additive particles.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display device with which response characteristics are able to be easily improved without using major equipment is provided. The method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display device includes steps of forming a first alignment film 22 including a polymer compound having a crosslinkable functional group as a side chain on one substrate of a pair of substrates 20 and 30; forming a second alignment film 32 on the other substrate of the pair of substrates 20 and 30; arranging the pair of substrates 20 and 30 so that the first alignment film 22 and the second alignment film 32 are opposed to each other, and sealing a liquid crystal layer 40 containing a liquid crystal molecule 41 having negative dielectric constant anisotropy between the first alignment film 22 and the second alignment film 32; and bridging the polymer compound to give pretilt to the liquid crystal molecule 41 after sealing the liquid crystal layer 40.

摘要: A liquid crystal display element for performing a display by a VA mode includes a first substrate including a first electrode, a liquid crystal layer including a liquid crystal molecule exhibiting a negative dielectric anisotropy, and a second substrate facing the first substrate with the liquid crystal layer in between, and including a second electrode facing the first electrode. Only the first electrode, or both of the first electrode and the second electrode are provided with a structure generating a distortion in an electric field, and the liquid crystal molecule located on the second substrate side has a pre-tilt angle larger than that of the liquid crystal molecule located on the first substrate side.

摘要: The invention provides a disc changer including a plurality of trays which can be moved respectively in a horizontal direction, a tray driving gear unit capable of shuttling the trays between a standby position and a disc exchange position, a gear driving mechanism for driving the tray driving gear unit, a tray triggering unit capable of locking/unlocking the trays in the standby position, pushing all trays to engage with the tray driving gear unit after unlocking the trays, and driving the trays toward the disc exchange position, wherein all trays in the standby position can be unlocked and pushed to engage with the tray driving gear unit, and ejected outward from a mechanical chassis by a predetermined tray stroke, thereafter the trays are driven back to the standby position one by one, and when the last tray reaches the standby position all trays are locked.

摘要: With a conventional disk changer, it takes a long time with poor operability to directly and visually confirm which tray has a disk or which tray has which disk in a device. A disk changer of the invention includes a tray transfer unit for shuttling trays between a standby position and an attaching/detaching position and between the standby position and a recording/reproducing position, a tray gear unit engaged separately with the trays, and a tray driving unit for driving the trays separately via the tray gear unit, so that the trays can be separately moved from the standby position to the attaching/detaching position via the tray gear unit and the trays can be protruded to the attaching/detaching position while being arranged like steps. Hence, it is possible to directly and visually confirm which tray has a disk or which tray has which disk in a device with a simple operation in a short time.

摘要: A multi-directional input apparatus having a volume as signal output reduces the number of parts needed for the multi-directional input apparatus. Turning members 40A and 40B which are turned when an operating member 30 is operated are combined at right angles in a case 10. The turning members 40A and 40B are provided at their one ends with gears 44A and 44B. Straight-ahead sliders 80 and 80 are mounted on two crossing side surfaces of the case 10 along the side surfaces and a mounting board of the input apparatus. Teeth 82 and 82 meshing with the gears 44A and 44B are formed on upper surfaces of the straight-ahead sliders 80 and 80. Contacts sliding on resistance circuits formed on a surface of the mounting board are mounted on lower surfaces of the straight-ahead sliders 80 and 80. The contacts, the gears 44A and 44B, the straight-ahead sliders 80 and 80 and the like constitute volumes which are integrally formed on the apparatus.
