    摘要: A brake switch abnormality detection device is provided for use in a motorcycle. The device includes brake switches for producing brake signals indicative of the respective operations of the brake switches, an estimated vehicle speed calculation, unit, a brake signal detector for detecting the presence or absence of the brake signals, a comparator for comparing the estimated vehicle speed with a first predetermined speed and a second predetermined speed which is smaller than the first predetermined speed, and an abnormality detector. The abnormality detector detects abnormalities and produces an abnormality signal when the estimated vehicle speed is reduced from the first predetermined speed to the second predetermined speed without any detection of the brake signal.

    摘要: An antilock control device includes a brake operation detecting unit, a wheel speed detecting unit, a control unit which detects a request for antilock control on the basis of a brake operation signal from the brake operation detecting unit and wheel speed signals from the wheel speed detecting unit and outputs a brake pressure control signal, and a brake pressure control circuit operative in response to said brake pressure control signal. The control unit has a judging function for detecting a request for starting antilock control while the vehicle speed is between a relatively low first predetermined speed and a higher second predetermined speed and the brake operation signal is OFF and a function of deciding whether to permit or prohibit the execution of antilock control. More specifically, if no request for starting antilock is detected, permission to execute antilock control is given while the vehicle speed is higher than the first predetermined value. If a request for starting antilock control is detected, the execution of antilock control is prohibited while the vehicle speed is between the first and second predetermined values. In another arrangement, even if such a request is detected, permission to execute antilock control is given while the vehicle speed is between the first and second predetermined speeds, provided the brake operation signal is ON.

    摘要: An antilock brake control device for use in a full-time four-wheel drive car has wheel rotation sensors for detecting the wheel rotations of the vehicle wheels, an electronic control circuit for calculating the wheel speeds, the estimated vehicle speed, the decelerations and the slip rates of the wheels from the wheel rotation signals from the sensors and for producing fluid pressure control signals based on the results of the calculation, and a fluid pressure control unit for controlling the braking force on the wheels independently of one another in response to the fluid pressure control signals. The electronic control circuit is adapted to calculate the coefficient of friction between the wheels and the road surface and the sum of slip rates of both rear wheels. If the coefficient of friction is higher than a first predetermined value and the sum of slip rates is smaller than a second predetermined value, the braking forces on all the wheels are controlled independently of one another. If the sum of slip rates is larger than the second predetermined value, the braking forces on the front wheels are controlled independently of each other and those on the rear wheels are controlled based on the wheel speed of one of the rear wheels rotating at a lower speed than the other.

    摘要: A testing device tests the brake fluid pressure circuit in an antilock control system for a motor vehicle. The testing device has a pressure switch provided in the line between a pump and a pressure accumulator in the brake fluid pressure circuit and a pressure switch detection adapted to give ON signals after the pressure indication of the pressure switch has risen above a predetermined point and give OFF signals after it has decreased below a predetermined point. If the signals fail to change from ON to OFF within a given time after issuing a command to release the pressure in the accumulator and if they fail to change from OFF to ON within a given time after issuing a command to pressurize the accumulator, the circuit is judged to be in an abnormal state.

    摘要: A brake system and a brake device for use with automobiles is provided in which braking energy stored in an auxiliary pressure source can be effectively used for braking, even if an electrical system fails. The vehicle brake system includes a proportional pressure control valve for generating braking liquid pressure by adjusting the braking energy stored in the auxiliary pressure source. A passage transmits the liquid pressure generated by a brake pedal stroke, a switching valve opens the passage in the powered condition and closes the passage in the off-powered condition, and an auxiliary control portion activates the proportional pressure control valve. Even in the off-powered condition, the high pressure accumulated in the auxiliary pressure source can be used to adjust the required braking liquid pressure at the proportional pressure control valve.
