    摘要： An accumulator for logs of wound paper conveys logs between an input end of the accumulator and a discharge end and accommodates speed differences in the log processing equipment at the input and discharge ends. The accumulator includes stationary upper and lower sets of sprockets and movable pairs of sprockets which can move up and down between the upper and lower sets. A continuous conveyor chain extends downwardly from the upper set of sprockets to the lower set at the input end, is festooned between the lower set of sprockets and one of the sprockets of each of the movable pairs, extends upwardly to the upper set of sprockets, and is festooned between the upper set of sprockets and the other sprocket of each of the movable pairs. A plurality of log carriers are mounted on the chain for movement therewith, and logs are fed onto the carriers at the input end as the carriers are moving downwardly between the upper set of sprockets and the lower set. The logs are removed from the carriers at the discharge end as the carriers are moving substantially horizontally between a pair of horizontally spaced sprockets of the lower set.

    摘要： A mono-extruded hemp composite board (EHB) is provided. By combining hemp feedstocks with virgin and/or recycled binder materials and subsequently extruding them into an extrudate sheet, an environmentally friendly alternative to tradition construction materials is created. Secondary feedstocks and waste products from other production streams may be added during the extrusion process to enhance the physical characteristics of the extrudate sheet in addition to reducing the raw material costs and creating a more environmentally friendly construction material. The extrudate sheet produced using such materials is structurally superior to traditional construction materials due to the structural characteristics of dispersed hemp feedstocks; the complete encapsulation of hemp feedstocks in the binder material; and the lower hygroscopic and higher pest and mold resistance properties of hemp feedstocks. A downstream extrusion arrangement may be used to pattern the extrudate sheet and/or create molded shapes that are difficult to achieve in traditional construction materials, increasing the customization potential of final EHB products relative to traditional construction materials.

    摘要： A ground retention apparatus is provided for deterring the theft of services from an outdoor pedestal. The ground retention apparatus includes a ground stake having a first end attached to the pedestal and a second end opposite the first end for engaging the ground beneath the pedestal. The ground retention apparatus further includes a stop plate secured to the ground stake medially between the first end and the second end. The stop plate defines a hinge line separating a lower portion that is stationary and an upper portion that is movable relative to the lower portion between a first position wherein the upper portion is generally parallel to the lower portion and a second position wherein the upper portion is angled relative to the lower portion. The stop plate prevents the ground stake from being removed from the ground, thereby deterring unauthorized access to the equipment inside the pedestal.

    摘要： A logic system referred to as an intersystem link unit (ISL) is provided for accommodating the transfer of binary coded information between two or more communication busses in a data processing system, wherein information including memory and non-memory read and write requests, CPU to CPU interrupts, peripheral control units to CPU interrupts may be transferred between plural communication busses each supporting plural data processing units including plural CPUs without substantially affecting the bus rate of the individual communication busses. Binary coded information from a communication bus is acquired asynchronously, and plural bus communications of different types are accommodated in parallel. The ISL units further may be dynamically reconfigured to provide for a reallocation of communication bus resources between communication busses.
