Xerographic imaging modules, xerographic apparatuses including the xerographic imaging modules and methods of making the xerographic imaging modules are disclosed. An embodiment of the xerographic imaging modules includes a photoreceptor roll having a photoconductive surface, a donor roll adjacent the photoreceptor roll for supplying toner to the photoconductive surface, and a toner loading roll adjacent the donor roll for supplying the toner to the donor roll. The toner loading roll includes a core comprised of a foam first material, and a non-porous surface region comprised of the first material. The surface region surrounds the core and forms an outer surface of the toner loading roll.

A xerographic marking device includes an intermediate transfer unit, a media transport path and at least one two-color image-on-image (IOI) drum module. Each two-color IOI drum module includes in a process order around a photoreceptor: a) a first charging unit; b) a first exposure unit; c) a first development unit; d) a second charging unit; e) a second exposure unit; and f) a second development unit, wherein the intermediate transfer unit receives a first toned image and a second toned image from the photoreceptor in a single transfer and transfers those toner images to print media to produce a toned image on print media. This is a shim cleaning blade for use in a novel cleaning station of an electrophotographic marking system having an a-Si photoconductive surface. The cleaning blade is preferably made from stainless steel but other metals can be used if suitable. The blade has a thickness of about 0.05-0.2 mm, but best results are obtained when using a thickness of about 005-0.1 mm. The cleaning blade contacts the photoconductive surface it is cleaning at an angle of from about 2 to about 40 degrees.

The printing apparatus or printing system may be a surface printing system or a reverse printing system. Each of the multiple print engines has at least one color station. The color stations are arranged in the print engines and between the multiple print engines based on whether the printing system is a surface printing system or a reverse printing system to control the order in which colorant is formed on a substrate. Multiple print engines allow for, among other things, a greater color gamut and therefore assists in expansion of the standard color gamut.
