    Abstract: A method, a network device, and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium are described in relation to an registration support service. The registration support service may include providing an end device with registration support information that may facilitate a re-registration of the end device with an access and mobility management function, a mobility management entity, or the like. The registration support information may include a time period and/or a location with which the end device may initiate a registration procedure. The registration support information may be generated based on historical behavior of the end device.

    Abstract: A method for prioritizing scanning to improve system acquisition includes scanning, by a user equipment device (UE), for base stations associated with a first radio access technology (RAT); establishing, by the UE, a first wireless channel between the UE and a first base station based on the first RAT; determining, by the UE, whether information associated with a second RAT was received via the first wireless channel; scanning, by the UE, for base stations associated with the second RAT in response to receiving the information via the first wireless channel, where the scanning is based on the received information; determining, by the UE, whether a second wireless channel based on the second RAT is established between the UE and a second base station; and camping, by the UE, on the second base station associated with the second RAT in response to determining that the second wireless channel was established.

    Abstract: An Ethernet protocol data unit (PDU) over 5G service is provided. A network device in a core network stores addresses of advertised subnets, associated with multiple user equipment or customer premises equipment (UE/CPE) devices, in a subnet table that correlates a MAC address of each of the multiple UE/CPE devices to a subnet address. The network device receives an allocation and retention priority (ARP) request over a data link layer. The ARP request indicates an IP address for a target host of a data flow. The network device determines, based on the subnet table and the IP address, a MAC address of one UE/CPE device servicing the host address. The network device sends a directed ARP request to the UE/CPE device using the MAC address, receives in response a target MAC address for the target host, and sends a response to the ARP request with the target MAC address.

    Abstract: A device may receive location data identifying a location of a network repeater and an identifier of a base station serving the network repeater, and may identify, based on the identifier of the base station, a first set of gNodeBs anchored to the base station. The device may identify, based on the location data, a second set of gNodeBs from a data structure, and may compare the first set of gNodeBs and the second set of gNodeBs to determine a list of gNodeBs included in the first set of gNodeBs and the second set of gNodeBs. The device may rank the list of gNodeBs, based on coverage projection recommendations, to generate a ranked list of gNodeBs, and may receive, from the data structure, configuration parameters for the ranked list of gNodeBs. The device may provide the configuration parameters for the ranked list of gNodeBs to the network repeater.

    Abstract: A first wireless access device, associated with a wireless service provider, establishes a wireless local area network connection with a second wireless access device and receives a certificate including a unique identifier associated with the second wireless access device. The first wireless access device determines whether the second wireless access device is authorized to connect to the first wireless access device. For example, if the certificate is signed by a certificate authority associated with the wireless service provider and the unique identifier appears in a whitelist stored at the first wireless access device, the first wireless access device and the second wireless access device perform a mutual authentication procedure based on one or more ephemeral keys. The first wireless access device provides the second wireless access device with access to a wide area network based on successful completion of the mutual authentication procedure.
