摘要： An exposure display device for a camera, which can display not only the density of the background to be photographed on a film but also the density of a primary object to be focused with respect to an exposure control value used for exposure control operation. In natural light photography, the brightness of the primary object area at which automatic focus detection is conducted and the brightness of divided object field areas are measured, the density distribution of the primary object area and those of the divided object field areas reproduced on the film are calculated basing on the measurement, and the results are displayed in correspondence to the exposure control value. In flash light photography, the expected brightness of the primary object area and divided object field areas are measured, and the density distribution of the primary object area and object field areas reproduced on the film are calculated and displayed in correspondence to the exposure control value.

摘要： An exposure calculating device is disclosed, in which a field of view is divided into a plurality of areas and the brightness values of these areas are measured. Luminance values are calculated based on signals derived from the measured brightness. Under certain conditions, the luminance in the center of the field of view is found, and is used to recalculate the luminance values for an exposure calculation. Further, a brightness control means is provided that divides the field of view into a plurality of areas, any one of which or all may be selected to control the brightness of the exposure.

摘要： A camera accessory capable of transmitting data to a camera includes a ROM for storing various data at a plurality of addresses, respectively. The data includes a group of data related to the camera accessory and other groups of data which are not related to the camera accessory, but are related to other camera accessories, such that the ROM memorizes all the data of different kinds of camera accessories, and such data are divided into a number of groups, each group related to one kind of camera accessory. The camera accessory further includes a code signal producer which produces a code signal when an accessory is mounted on the camera so as to identify the type of the camera accessory, a receiver for receiving a digital signal from the camera, and a controller responsive to the code signal and the digital signal for controlling the data transmission from the camera accessory to the camera so that only the data of one group related to the particular camera accessory are transmitted to the camera.

摘要： A camera system having an interchangeable objective lens selectively mountable to at least two different types of camera bodies of a, first type and second type, is involved. The camera system has a ROM located in the interchangeable objective lens for storing a plurality of compensation data: one is suitable for the first type camera body; and the other is suitable for the second type camera body. Each data compensates an error in fully-open aperture light measurement for each type of camera. The compensation data is transmitted from the lens to the camera body. A register is provided in the camera body for storing a selected compensation data which is necessary for the type of camera body mounted with the lens. A device is provided in the camera body for practicing a fully-open aperture light measurement through the interchangeable objective lens to produce a light measuring information including the light measurement error. A calculator is provided in the camera body for calculating a correct exposure information using the compensation data stored in the register and the light measuring signal, whereby the error included in the light measuring signal can be removed.

摘要： A camera system is provided that permits memory data dedicated to particular camera accessories to be transmitted to the camera body for enabling the operation of the camera. The camera accessories can carry dedicated information or variable information to the camera body. Synchronization between the camera accessory and the camera body can be provided by a train of clock pulses. Information can be programmed in a fixed memory circuit to insure that only a particular accessory so designated will provide information to the camera body to prevent any erroneous inputting of data from a plurality of camera accessories that are contemplated for use with a particular camera body.

摘要： An exposure control arrangement for use in photographic cameras employing digital circuitry and a microprocessor for practical and rational exposure control of the photographic camera through simple construction at high reliability. The arrangement utilizes a single A-D converter to digitize various analog signals corresponding to the measured light value, set exposure time, set film sensitivity, etc. A single timer circuit to generate substantially all of the time references is used by the arrangement. The microprocessor, connected to the timer circuit and A-D converter controls the operation of the arrangement. The commonality of usage of the A-D converter, timer circuit, and microprocessor decreases the arrangement's size, cost, and complexity while increasing the arrangement's overall reliability.

摘要： In camera control circuitry including an exposure control circuit for controlling exposure factor or exposure factors, e.g. exposure time and/or diaphragm aperture, in accordance with an output of a light measuring circuit and further including an electromagnetic means for initiating the camera operation, a delay circuit delays the actuation of the exposure control circuit and the electromagnetic means for a short time period. A power supply circuit for the exposure control circuit, the light measuring circuit, the electromagnetic means and the delay circuit, is closed by the closure of a manually controlled switch and the closing condition of the power supply circuit is maintained through a self-maintaining circuit. When the scene brightness is outside of an available range for the exposure control circuit, a detecting circuit generates an output to make inoperative the delay circuit and the self-maintaining circuit so that the exposure control circuit and the electromagnetic means are not actuated. The delay circuit may also be used for self-timer photography.
