摘要： A brushless alternator includes: a rotor mounted on a shaft; a ring-shaped yoke which is opposed to the rotor via a very narrow radial clearance; a stepped portion provided on a side surface of an inner circumference of an axial end section of the yoke; a plate fixed to the stepped portion and having a cylindrical portion made of a magnetic material; a bobbin provided so as to surround a radially outer side of the cylindrical portion of the plate for the purpose of winding a field coil therearound; and a stator provided with a clearance retained on an outer side of the rotor, wherein a radial thickness of a part of the cylindrical portion which is fixed to the stepped portion provided on the inner circumferential surface of the yoke is set larger than 1 mm and not larger than 2 mm.

摘要： An alternator includes: a rotor fixed to a shaft so as to rotate with the shaft; a stator disposed so as to surround the rotor, an alternating current being generated in the stator by a rotating magnetic field from the rotor; and a voltage control apparatus for adjusting magnitude of an output voltage of the alternating current generated in the stator, wherein: the voltage control apparatus includes: a grounded, electrically-conductive heat sink; and a control main body fixed to the heat sink, the control main body including an integrated circuit chip on which a circuit for controlling the output voltage is formed. As a result, parts are reduced in number, reducing manufacturing costs.

摘要： An IC regulator for controlling an alternator by changing contents of control in dependence on ambient temperature includes a control voltage limiter (2), a field current controller (3), a temperature sensor (4), a first comparator (5) for comparing the ambient temperature (T) with an activation temperature (TP1) and a reset temperature (TS1), and a second comparator (6) for comparing the ambient temperature (T) with a second activation temperature (TP2). The first comparator (5) outputs a limiter control signal (C2) when the ambient temperature (T) exceeds the first activation temperature (TP1) while resetting the limiter control when the temperature (T) becomes lower than the first reset temperature (TS1). The second comparator (6) outputs a field current interrupt signal (C3) when the ambient temperature (T) exceeds a second activation temperature (TP2) while resetting the signal (C3) when the temperature (T) becomes lower than the second activation temperature (TP2).

A resin case (30) is formed in the shape of a cylinder so as to cover the entire axial length of the outer ring (26) of the counter-driving side bearing (7), and slits (32) are formed in the resin case (30) so as to extend axially from one axial end thereof to the other axial end thereof. The resin case (30) is press-fitted into the counter-driving side bearing housing (2a) with the one axial end of the resin case (30) being located at an opening side of the counter-driving side bearing housing (2a). The counter-driving side bearing (7) is press-fitted into the resin case (30).
