    摘要: A method for manufacturing an image displaying medium is provided in that a display element in the form of powder can be filled between facing substrates. After patterning spacer particles on a first flat substrate supplied from a first film roller set on a first roller shaft by a first electrostatic coating device, they are fixed by a first fixing device to form a spacer on the first flat substrate, and then black particles are coated, on the entire surface by a second electrostatic coating device. After coating white particles thereon by a third electrostatic coating device, the black particles and the white particles on the upper part of the spacer are removed by a blade, and a second flat substrate supplied from a second film roller set on a second roller shaft is superimposed, followed by fixing the upper part of the spacer and the second flat substrate by a second fixing device.

    摘要: An image display medium provided with a pair of substrates both of which are substantially transparent, and a gas enclosed in space defined between them. Each of the pair of the substrates is provided with transparent electrodes (ITO). The space defined between the substrates encloses two types of particle groups having colors different from one another, have a negative charge polarity, and have different adhesiveness from each other with respect to the substrates. A white particle group having a positive polarity is further enclosed in the space. A voltage is applied to the electrodes 28 and 30 so as to apply an electric field determined in response to the types of particles to be transferred. Thus, a plurality of colors are selectively developed via the particle groups enclosed in the space for displaying different colors.

    摘要: A horizontal goods transfer apparatus includes a horizontal fixed rail extending in the back-and-forth direction and being capable of mounting thereon a plurality of items in a row in the longitudinal direction. A back-and-forth movement rail is arranged to be substantially parallel to the fixed rail and is placed to be reciprocally movable in the back-and-forth direction. A reciprocating air cylinder moves the back-and-forth movement rail for a predetermined distance. A vertical movement rail is supported by the back-and-forth movement rail to be vertically movable and capable of being located at an upper position higher than the fixed rail and a lower position lower than the fixed rail. A flexible tube is placed on the back-and-forth movement rail and under the vertical movement rail to extend along the vertical movement rail. This flexible tube is inflated/deflated upon supply/discharge of compressed air, thereby vertically moving the vertical movement rail to the upper and lower positions.

    摘要: A horizontal transfer apparatus for transferring distribution pallets includes two horizontally movable rails extending horizontally in a direction of transfer. The horizontally movable rails are adapted to mount thereon those end portions of each distribution pallet which are located perpendicular to the transfer direction, with friction reducers interposed between the rails and the end portions. A vertically movable brake rail is able to be brought into contact with the bottoms of the distribution pallets, and extending between the horizontally movable rails and parallel thereto such that the distance between the vertically movable brake rail and one of the horizontally movable rails is larger than the distance between the vertically movable brake rail and the other of the horizontally movable rails. A single flexible tube, extending completely under and along the vertically movable brake rail, vertically raises and lowers the vertically movable brake rail uniformly as a result of uniform expansion and contraction depending upon a charge and discharge of compressed air therethrough.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus performs a stable developing characteristic for an electrostatic latent image including a halftone image expressed by a binary manner. The apparatus includes a photoreceptor having a surface and an electrostatic image forming device for forming an electrostatic latent image on the surface of the photoreceptor, the electrostatic latent image including a digitally-reproduced binary latent image. The apparatus further includes a developing device for developing the electrostatic latent image. The developing device includes a two-component developer including magnetic carrier particles and toner particles. The apparatus also includes a bias applying device for applying a bias voltage between the developing device and the photoreceptor for defining a relatively high contrast potential of the digitally-reproduced binary latent image to be developed. The developing system includes a control system for controlling a certain amount of toner to be developed to be substantially constant corresponding to the contrast potential. Several configurations of the developing device may be adopted to the purpose.

A first measuring unit measures, from a binary image, density levels of first and second regions which are alternately arranged in a first direction in the binary image, the binary image being disposed on a second surface of a holding member which includes a first surface and the second surface. A storage unit stores therein information indicating an association between a distance from the first measuring unit to the second surface and a contrast between the adjacent first and second regions. A calculator calculates a contrast between the adjacent first and second regions. A detector specifies a distance corresponding to the calculated contrast by using the stored information, and detects a deflection of the holding member in the first direction by using the specified distance as the distance from the second surface to the adjacent first and second regions.
