    摘要： A coordinates input apparatus for detecting coordinate values of an arbitrary point by indicating the arbitrary point on a vibration transmission plate by a vibration input pen for generating a vibration, comprises: a plurality of sensors, arranged at predetermined positions in the vibration transmission plate, for detecting the vibration generated by the indication by the vibration input pen, for converting the vibration into electric signals, and for outputting; a measuring circuit to measure delay times from a time point when the arbitrary point has been indicated by the vibration input pen until time points when the electric signals are detected; an obtaining circuit to obtain origin correction data from a plurality of points on the vibration transmission plate; a memory to store the origin correction data; and a processor for reading out the origin correction data from the memory, for correcting the coordinate values on the basis of the delay times measured by the measuring circuit and the origin correction data, and for calculating the coordinate values. The processor has a selector to select the origin correction data of the optimum point so as to execute the optimum coordinate value correction from the origin correction data obtained from the plurality of points and stored in the memory.

    摘要： A coordinate input apparatus includes a vibration pen, a vibration transmission plate, a plurality of vibration detecting units, a calculating unit, a memory unit, and a control unit. The calculating unit calculates vibration transmission times from a point designated by the vibration pen to the vibration detecting units, and calculates coordinate values of the designated point of the vibration pen. The memory unit stores the vibration transmission times from a first designated point of the vibration pen on the vibration transmission plate to the vibration detecting units and coordinate values of the first designated point. The control unit performs calculations on the basis of vibration transmission times from a second designated point calculated by the calculating unit to the vibration detecting units, the vibration transmission times from the first designated point and the coordinate values of the first designated point stored in the memory unit, thereby calculating coordinate values of the second designated point.

    摘要： A coordinates input apparatus, for example, a digitizer, has a vibration propagation medium such as a transparent glass plate for allowing a vibration to propagate therethrough; an input pen for applying vibration to the vibration propagation medium; a vibration detector for detecting vibration applied by the input pen; an envelope output device for producing an envelope signal representing the envelope of the vibration detected by the vibration detector; a differentiator for conducting a differentiation of the envelope signal produced by the envelope output device so as to determine the peak; a controller adapted for determining, as the time of arrival of the vibration, a zero-cross point of the vibration that is located in the vicinity of a zero-cross point of the signal from the differentiator; and a computing device for computing the distance between the input pen and the vibration detector from the time determined by the controller.

This beam spot is generated by irradiating the predetermined position on the coordinate input screen with light coming from a pointing tool, or corresponds to a light-emitting portion provided to the distal end of the pointing tool located near the coordinate input screen.

    摘要： A coordinates input apparatus which detects vibration, inputted by a vibration-input pen, by a plurality of vibration sensors provided on a vibration-transmitting tablet, and derives coordinates of a vibration-input point based on vibration transmitting time on the vibration-transmitting tablet. The vibration-transmitting tablet comprises a glass substrate and two sheets of resinous film laminated on the glass substrate. The two sheets of resinous film are laminated on both surfaces of the glass substrate in an orientation such that the stretched directions of the resinous film differ for 90 degrees. By this, a vibration-transmitting tablet where sheets of protection film are laminated, and a coordinates input apparatus which minimizes the changes in vibration propagation velocity depending on the propagation directions, are realized.
