    摘要: A vibration-transmitting tablet and coordinate-input apparatus at low prices, which enable to easily manage precision of vibration detection position. A vibration-input pen inputs vibration, generated by its vibrator, onto the vibration-transmitting tablet formed by polarizing a piezoelectric member in its thickness direction. When the vibration propagated on the vibration-transmitting tablet reaches four electrodes provided at predetermined positions of the vibration-transmitting tablet, electric signals based on the vibration are detected from the respective electrodes. A signal-waveform detector detects arrival of the vibration at the electrodes based on the electric signals. An arithmetic controller calculates coordinates of the vibration-input position based on arrival timings of the vibration. The arrangement of the electrodes on the vibration-transmitting tablet can be realized by etching, printing or the like, thus management of precision of vibration-detection positions can be much easier.

    摘要: A coordinate input apparatus which can stably input coordinates at a high precision is provided. A vibration sensor is fixed to a vibration propagating plate by means such as an adhesion or the like. Electrodes are formed on both edge surfaces of the vibration sensor. One electrode is connected to the vibration propagating plate (its surface is made of a conductive material). Another electrode is connected to a conductive plate spring through an electrode leading member. The electrode leading member has a cylindrical portion to position a projecting portion to a center axis by setting a side surface of the vibration sensor to a reference has a relation adapted to be come into engagement with the vibration sensor. The plate spring presses the electrode leading member to the vibration sensor and is electrically connected to the vibration sensor. Since the position to extract a signal from the vibration sensor is positioned by setting the side surface of the vibration sensor to a reference, the signal can be stably extracted at a high precision.

    摘要: There is provided a highly precise coordinate input device not requiring a particular designating tool. A sheet, composed of a piezoelectric plate polarized in the direction of thickness, is superposed with a vibration transmitting plate, provided with vibration sensors in predetermined positions. The sheet generates vibration by a pulse signal generated by a sheet driver. When the sheet is pressed for example with a pen, the vibration is transmitted to the vibration transmitting plate from the pressed position, and is detected by the vibration sensors. A controller calculates the distance between the vibration input point and the vibration sensor, based on the delay time from the start of vibration to the detection. This operation is conducted for the plural sensors, and the coordinate is calculated from thus calculated distances.

    摘要: An influence by a vibration which is transmitted in the air is reduced, thereby preventing an erroneous detection of coordinates or a deterioration in a detecting precision. An elastic resin sheet is arranged on a coordinates input surface side of a vibration transmission plate so as to have a gap between the resin sheet and the vibration transmission plate and is fixed by an adhesive layer. When coordinates are inputted by a vibrator pen, namely, when a vibration is inputted, the resin sheet is warped by a writing pressure of the vibrator pen and the resin sheet comes into contact with the vibration transmission plate. Therefore, the vibration applied by the vibrator pen is efficiently transmitted to the vibration transmission plate. On the other hand, a vibration transmitted from the air is reflected by the boundary on both surface sides of the resin sheet and by the surface of the vibration transmission plate by a difference between acoustic impedances, so that the vibration entering the vibration transmission plate is remarkably reduced.

The vibration-transmitting tablet comprises a glass substrate and two sheets of resinous film laminated on the glass substrate. The two sheets of resinous film are laminated on both surfaces of the glass substrate in an orientation such that the stretched directions of the resinous film differ for 90 degrees. By this, a vibration-transmitting tablet where sheets of protection film are laminated, and a coordinates input apparatus which minimizes the changes in vibration propagation velocity depending on the propagation directions, are realized.

    摘要: The present invention detects coordinates of a designated point and includes a vibration transmission plate having anisotropic properties such that vibrations from a vibration generation source applied to the vibration transmission plate propagate through the vibration transmission plate with differing vibration transmission velocities depending on a direction of transmission of vibration. A plurality of vibration detection units are provided for detecting vibrations transmitted through the vibration transmission plate, and a determination unit determines coordinates of the vibration generation source by measuring time periods of propagation of vibrations through the vibration transmission plate from the vibration generation source to one or more of the vibration detetion units. Further, the vibration transmission plate and the plurality of vibration detection units are provided such that bisectors of angles made by two line segments each connecting two opposing vibration detection units from among the plurality of vibration detection units coincide with axes of anisotropy of the vibration transmission plate.
