Abstract: An image display device includes an image-forming element and a light source. The image-forming element includes a base member including a first surface, and a reflector array on the base member. The reflector array includes multiple reflector rows, each including multiple dihedral orthogonal reflectors along a first direction. Each of the multiple dihedral orthogonal reflectors includes a first reflecting surface reflecting light from the first surface side, and a second reflecting surface that is orthogonal to the first reflecting surface and reflects a reflected light from the first reflecting surface toward the first surface side.

Abstract: An image display device includes an imaging element and multiple light sources. The imaging element reflects light of the multiple light sources and forms multiple floating images in mid-air. The multiple reflector rows are arranged parallel to a second direction crossing the first direction. The multiple dihedral corner reflectors each include a first reflecting surface, and a second reflecting surface orthogonal to the first reflecting surface.

Abstract: Provided is a retroreflective structure and a light-emitting safety band using same. The retroreflective structure comprises: a switch unit for supplying power, a light source being connected to the switch unit; and a light-emitting unit coupled to the switch unit. The switch unit comprises: a middle plate case having a light transfer body insertion hole formed thereon; an upper plate case coupled to the upper portion of the middle plate case; and a PCB inserted into the middle plate case and the upper plate case. The light-emitting unit comprises: a lower retroreflective film; and a light transfer body installed to be forced against the upper portion of the retroreflective film. The light source is inserted into and installed in a light source insertion groove on an end of the light transfer body having a case engaging unit installed to engage with the light transfer body insertion hole.

The system and method has application in many types of direct irradiation heating systems and is applicable to both narrowband or broadband directed irradiation heating systems. The purpose and result of the implementation is to improve the overall system efficiency through the redirection of photons back to a targeted item which is being heated or treated with the irradiation energy.

Abstract: Methods of making tiled articles and molds used to make retroreflective articles. The methods include forming a prism array on a master substrate and forming a replica of the master. A reference edge is formed on the replica, thereby reducing the size of the prism array, yet maintaining a lateral dimension of the replica to maintain ease of handling of the replica. The replica is copied and the reference edge on the copied tiles are exposed, such that the reference edge can be mated and secured face-to-face with a reference edge on other tiles in order to form a tiled article. The tiled article is used as a mold to produce retroreflective articles or can be further duplicated and mated to form larger tiled articles to be used as molds. Tiled articles used as molds and retroreflective articles produced from the molds are also disclosed.
