    Abstract: The present disclosure describes methods, system, and devices for determining a location of paging early indication (PEI). One method includes receiving, by a user equipment (UE), configuration information of a paging early indication occasion (PEI-O), wherein the configuration information comprises a frame-level offset list and a symbol-level offset list, the frame-level offset list comprises one or more frame-level offset, and the symbol-level offset list comprises one or more symbol-level offset; and detecting, by the UE, a paging early indication (PEI) in the PEI-O, wherein the PEI-O is determined by a frame-level offset from a start of a first paging frame (PF) of at least one PF associated with the PEI-O to a reference point and a symbol-level offset from the reference point to a start of a first physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) monitor occasion of the PEI-O.

    Abstract: Provided is a rate matching method and device for a Polar code. The method includes: concatenating K information bits and (N−K) frozen bits to generate a bit sequence of N bits, and encoding the bit sequence of N bits by means of a Polar code encoder with a generator matrix of size N×N to generate an initial bit sequence {S0, S1, . . . , SN−1} of N bits, where K and N are both positive integers and K is less than or equal to N; dividing a circular buffer into q parts, selecting bits from the initial bit sequence {S0, S1, . . . , SN−1} in a non-repeated manner, and writing the bits into the q parts of the circular buffer according to a predefined rule, where q=1, 2, 3 or 4; and sequentially selecting a bit sequence of a specified length from a predefined starting position in a bit sequence in the circular buffer and taking the bit sequence of the specified length as a bit sequence to be transmitted.

    Abstract: Described are methods, systems and devices for the transmission and reception of channel quality indicator (CQI) information over an physical channel to facilitate, for example, meeting block error rate requirements in emerging systems. One example method includes transmitting an index associated with a quality of the physical channel, where the index corresponds to an entry in a parameter table set. Another example method includes receiving an index associated with the quality of the downlink physical channel, and transmitting a plurality of data blocks, where contents of the plurality of data blocks are encoded and modulated using a code rate and a modulation scheme, respectively, which are selected from an entry in the parameter tables corresponding to the index. In both exemplary methods, one or more parameter tables include at least three entries comprising code rates having values less than or equal to 120/1024.
