Abstract: A printing system and method of printing are provided herein. The printing system may generate custom user designs for printing. The designs may be associated with a selected print medium. The print medium may have a particular layout. The printing system may convert the design for printing on other print media without requiring user alteration or input of the design. In another aspect, the printing system may facilitate printing the designs via local printers and/or via professional printers. Accordingly, printing of designs on different print-receptive media items can be accomplished.

Abstract: The present invention includes a label, a label sheet and a method for manufacturing the label. The label includes a paper facestock having first and second surfaces and a layer of pressure sensitive adhesive proximal to the second surface. The label can be adhered to a substrate having pre-applied indicia to cover the indicia and the label is opaque enough to prevent the viewing of the covered indicia while matching the color of the substrate.

Abstract: A method for displaying indicia that is to be printed on a double-sided item on a computer screen. The double-sided item has first and second surfaces. The indicia has at least one print orientation when the indicia is printed on the item's first and second surfaces, and at least one view orientation when the indicia is displayed on the computer screen, which has a vertical orientation. The method includes providing information that characterizes the indicia's print orientation, using the information to compare the print orientation to the vertical orientation; and if, as a result of the comparison, the print orientation does not match the vertical orientation, adjusting the view orientation so the view orientation matches the vertical orientation while maintaining the indicia's print orientation when the indicia is printed on the item.

Abstract: A multi-layer one-way valve (100) includes: a first layer (10) having at least one first opening (12) formed therein; a second layer (20) having at least one second opening (22) formed therein; and, a third layer (30). The first and second layers are joined together such that at least one first channel (14) is defined therebetween, and the second and third layers are joined together such that at least one second channel (24) is defined therebetween. Additionally, an amount of flow-able liquid is deposited in the first channel between the first and second openings. Suitably, the valve selectively opens to permit gas flow through the first and second channels in response to a pressure differential, the rate of gas flow through the valve is exponentially proportional to the pressure differential.
